Here we are, two weeks after Lillian is born and I'm still trying to get the hospital pictures up. I will get caught up this weekend!
After Lillian got back from transition, we noticed that she looked JUST like her big brother! It was seriously kind of weird how much they looked alike. Which really means, they look like their daddy. I make children that look nothing like me. Whatev.
The first meeting. And the last meeting at the hospital.
He calls her "bay-bee" and points at her.
Bless that sweet baby, he didn't care much about his sister. He really just wanted to push around her cart. So we decided that he might not need to come back to the hospital, and we'd see him when we got home.
(and here we are two weeks later, and he will kiss her head. things are improving!)
That smile!
I wasn't good about getting pictures of all our visitors, but I did get this one of Nanny.
You can kind of see her dark hair here. Its funny. At the top of her head and her lashes/eyebrows are blonde, but the back is thick and its a light brown.
People keep asking where she got this hair from...
and I keep forgetting to mention that under my blonde hair is a color very similar to hers :)
October 18th, we were heading home to be a family of four!
Me and my new best friend. The amount of love is indescribable!
When she was born, she weighed 6 lbs 7 oz. When we left the hospital, she was 6 lbs 2 oz.
My tiny angel baby!
That concludes the first few days of Lillian's life. We are so blessed to have her!
When we got home, I was very emotional about this possibly being the last time we brought home a newborn. Labor and pregnancy are so easy to me. I love having them babies. And I know all too well how fast they grow!
But for now, we are happy with our perfect and healthy two beautiful children.
And if you ask Joey Lindley, he says we're done. And depending on what day it is, I might agree.
But I have learned and finally grasped that we are not in control here. He is in control and He makes the plans.
