walker?

Happy Maroon Friday!!
This little monkey loves his dawgs.

And please don't judge his swollen eyes...he just woke up and wasn't quite picture ready

Also, we have a new trick in the Lindley household.

Now, he has a really cute wooden walker, but he chooses to use his activity table.
Bless his bones. We have a soon-to-be-walker on our hands!
And please notice the open mouth...this baby is having a blast!

Happy Maroon Friday!
We will be watching from our house this weekend.
Hopefully we can make it to starkville for a few games this year!

Happy Birthday Bubba!

Not too much has been going on around here...
We've been kinda stressed around the Lindley household. Good stressed, but stressed.
So we've been laying low until we have resolution.
(I know I'm being very vague, but hopefully it will be worked out soon and I can talk about it)

But first, a big Happy Happy Birthday to our favorite Bubba!
Brett Zito is 26 today. That is crazytown to me!
Since he moved out to the sticks, we've been missing our quality time with him.
Hopefully, that will change soon!

But Hudson loves him!

We love us some Brett.
And he is single. Ladies, this one's a keeper!

Happy birthday to our favorite bubs!

And Hudson, he's still as sweet as ever!
And he so happens to be 11 months today too!

Friday night, we had dinner with the Beacoms. We love those Beacoms! And Hudson and Claire
(their one year old) are really starting to play together. It's fun to watch!

Saturday, me and Hudson did some shopping.
He actually let me do alittle shopping for myself. He just played on the floor while I tried on a few dresses. And, of course, we had to spend a fortune small amount at Sweet Dreams.
Saturday night, we went to Cock of the Walk with 5 other couples....and 5 babies!
It was wild and crazy, but so much fun. I wish we'd taken more pictures, but this is the best I could get.

Kiki picked up this cute wooden walker for Hudson.
I love Melissa and Doug wooden toys. They are so classic to me!

He still needs alittle help actually pushing it.
We aren't quite safe with moving objects yet, but we are learning.

He also tried out his new froggie robe.
This boy makes me laugh so much!

And last night, we tried out our first pair of big boy pjs.
They are two piece and so cute!

And this pair happens to be glow-in-the-dark, in case Hudson decides to hit up the local rave.

Today, we are "hunckering" down and awaiting this Isaic.

Happy Friday!

It's Friday!!!
Can you tell Hudson's excited!?!

For blog book sake, I wanted to update you myself on the nursing and formula issue.
Since Hudson turned 10 months, he has completely been on formula. If you have ever read this blog since my child was born, you know that this was originally hard for me. I was an avid breastfeeder and took it very seriously for 10 months! Like it was my job!
But now that I am on the other side, the scary formula is not as bad as I imagined. And it has honestly been good. I know how much Hudson is taking now and I don't always have this sick feeling in my stomach. "Am I pumping enough, is he getting enough..." If you've ever nursed, you know those thoughts!
While I was nursing, people who had been there tried to tell me, "he will be ok with formula, don't be so hard on yourself." It was hard for me to get to that place in my head. But I am there and I am smiling! It really was ok.

I definitely plan on nursing with my next child, but hopefully I can remember the time I had with Hudson and not freak out as much about it.
I have no idea where I am going with these thoughts, but to summarize the above painful long paragraph:
I seriously nursed, and I switched to formula. And my child is ok and thriving.
Praise Jesus!

Moving on, is anyone else a crazy person about those facebook smocked sales? Smocked Auctions, Stitches and Smocked, Smockadots...the list goes on.
I love getting on my ipad around 7-8pm every night to check out all that smocked goodness.
They get me ever-er-y time! And sweet Josie is getting increasingly frustrated with me about the packages that arrive almost daily. Last night, I bought some Christmas PJs and a cute Christmas applique set (both with free shipping and monogram).
I still like to shop around at the local baby boutiques, but you honestly can't beat those prices. Sorry Joey, keep those packages rollin in!

The boy loves balls. And bubbles.

Coming next week, big changes in the Lindley household!
Very exciting times ahead!!

Happy Friday!

FUN weekend!

This weekend was JAM packed with fun-ness!
We attended 2 first birthday parties, 1 surprise party and 1 pseudo-surprise party.

First birthday party:
Carson Shive. That sweet boy!
Jess did such a good job on everything!

"You are my sunshine"

Look at that little birthday monkey

These sweet boys!

Sharing an inside joke

This was a sweet moment for me. We were singing happy birthday to Carson.
I noticed Jessica was tearing up, and of course, my waterworks started!
I know Jess was crying bc her baby is growing up. But I started crying because I have really love getting to share all these sweet baby boy moments with her. I am so thankful for our friendship!

Carson's Ole Miss car from her Honey

Sweet daddy and baby

Mommies and the babies.
Not our best picture. Ha! Hudson was pooped from all the birthday fun and Carson just wanted to play with his truck (and I was the creepster that took it away)

Birthday Party #2:
Jude Broussard
Sweet Jude and Hudson on the huge bean bag

Getting a closer look

Look at that tooth... Its hard to get a good picture of that thing!
Still holding strong with 2 bottom teeth

By this point in the day, Hudson was beyond grumpy and wanted to just scream. Yeah, he was that child.  We appeased him by stuffing his face and giving him whatever he wanted. Give it up for the mother of the year!
We did discover he loooves the soccer ball!

I didn't get as many pictures from this party because of Hudson's stellar behavior, but I was sure to grab it for the photo booth! We had a blast with this thing!

Heather and I

These cute babies in disguise- Hudson Lindley and Claire Beacom

Being silly!

We even got sweet Josie to participate

Can you even recognize him in that club hat?

Maybe my favorite picture of the day
Boyfriends, Joey and Jonathan

And for the main event on Saturday night.
We went to murder mystery dinner at Georgia Blue
Ya'll, this was so much fun!!

I was dying to participate and they let me!!!
Joey was so embarassed the whole night because I was acting a fool!
I guess that's what bourbon and a fun night away from the baby will do to you!
The murderous couples, The Lindleys and The Beacoms

Us with the whole cast!

Not pictured: Susan's surprise party. We didn't make the actual surprise part, but we did get the swing by after our dinner date. I was slight loopy by that point and it was time to go to sleepytown.

Sunday we picked Hudson up from Kiki's house and watched 2 movies and ate pizza!
The best lazy day ever!

Such a great weekend. Love spending time with my boys and sweet friends!

side note: if you are friends with me on facebook or instagram, you have already seen these pictures. dern social media!

10 months!

Hudson Lindley is 10 months old!
Bless his bones, I love him more and more each month.
But boy oh boy, is this baby getting WILD!

And we are officially done with nursing and breastmilk. And I am surprisingly really ok with it.

Some things about Hudson at 10 months old:
-Taking 4, 6-7 oz bottles daily and 3 meals with solids.
We have now added string cheese, asparagus, nutragrain bars, and biscuits to his diet.
Last night, he had half of my grilled cheese and that baby LOVED it! He is doing really good about picking up things and stuffing them into his mouth. He is still not real wild about pieces of fruit, so we've been eating applesauce and yogurt to make up for it. I also sneak bananas and strawberries into his cereal.
-Has started swatting food away when he doesn't want it. And he will close his mouth so tight and shake his head. My strong willed child.
-Taking a sippy with water during the day. He takes small sips, but its starting to work.
We are starting to think about the one year transition to only sippies.
-Wearing mostly 12 month outfits and still some 9 months. I've been ordering 18 months for fall and winter.
Damn facebook sales have been getting me. Size 3 diapers are still fitting good.
-Crawling all over the place.
He is officially pulling up on everything and standing while playing. He even has started letting go with one hand. But he doesn't realize he has to hold on if he wants to remain standing, and he falls.
-Still saying bababbaba. And mamamama if he is really upset. But his inflections are different with different objects. So I think he thinks he's saying the words. Its cute!
-He has started waving byebye and smiling so big when he does it!
-His hair is still blonde as ever and somehow getting blonder? And it might be time for a haircut because its always getting in his face. But I'm not ready for that yet.
-Loves the bathtub so much. He has all his fun toys and will just crawl around. He is also started being interested in the running water. He'll stick his hand under it. I think a big splash pad is in our future.
When he's crawling, he will literally crawl with balls in his hands. Then he lets it go and chases it. Just like a sweet puppy dog.
-He has started do this ear peircing scream...just for fun! The first few times, I thought something was wrong. But no, he's just doing it to get my attention.
-We have started to learn what the word "no" means. But he just continues to do what he's doing all while smiling. They say you are suppose to ignore the bad behavior. But what is the behavior is bad and unsafe? You can't ignore it then!
-Still only have 2 bottom teeth. Just waiting on those next ones to come in any time now
-Loves his mommy. And his daddy, but really  loves his mommy right now. I am trying to hold onto this moment for as long as I can.

Here are some pictures of my little lovie at 10 months

Wild man

Chewing on the iron bed. Really?

Being my precious angel child

We are just loving life these days with him.
What they say is true....You just love them more and more every-day!

Ps, we are in full scale birthday planning mode. It is OOC!

Happy Monday sweetsies!
