happy happy happy

 Dear Duck Dynasty,
I have recently started to love you. Like really love you. It makes me hap-py.hap-py.hap-py. Santa brought Joey Season 1 in his stocking, and we have pretty much watched the entire thing. You silly boys make me laugh! I'm not sure if its because you're lifestyle is so much different than mine or ya'll are just straight up idiots with lots of money, but you have something very relatable about you. One big crazy happy family, trying to run a family business. Although I don't have the business part, I do have a husband and other family members that crazy about the outdoors. And that Uncle Si, he's a mess! I wonder if that sweet tea in that cup might be spiked with something.
And I may or may not have a baby crush on Jase. I think its his dry humor.

Just for fun, I googled them. And all these old, pre- beard pictures came up.
I definitely don't have a crush on that little Jase.

You have all been with your wives for a very long time, and I admire how family oriented you are!
But I don't admire those beards. Sweet Josie sports a small beard, but he keeps that stuff trimmed and tidy. Not you! And you all love Jesus. And aren't ashamed of it. That's hard to come by on TV these days!
Basically, keep up the redneck good work! Joey's territory is in Monroe and I can promise I will be making a trip down there with him one day. Don't be scared if a blonde with big hair comes be-boppin up in the Duck Commander warehouse.

Love, Kristin Lindley

Christmas

Here comes the Christmas 2012 recap.
Although Hudson has no idea what is going on, it was so fun interacting with him this year at Christmas! I hope next year, he will be able to understand some of it. We still did our traditions like looking at the lights and going to Canton, but I have a feeling next year will be even better!

I apologize in advance for the crappy pictures. With Hudson running around this year, I kinda got distracted. And most of them are from my Iphone. And I officially suck!

Getting ready for Christmas Eve mass with my parents.
Of course, we take our socks off 10 times.

At my parent's house, Kiki has this porcelain Christmas set and Hudson spotted the Gaw (dog).

He is not allowed to touch yet.

We only made it in church about 25 minutes. Maybe next year?!?

Every year, we go to my mom's brother's house for Christmas Eve. And we always have lots of fun and laughs with those Binghams!

Jay and the stuffed pup
Please look at sweet Poppy's face in the background. He just loves Hudson!

And look who came to visit!

Hudson's spread at our house.
Santa somehow knew that they baby loves a tent and tunnel? He's so smart!

We actually had to wake him up at 7:30 on Christmas Day. He went to bed late the night before.
He approves of the tent

Up next, Kiki and Papa Frank's house.
My mother Santa really outdid herself this year. (and I say that EVERY year)
But Hudson Lindley had so much stuff...he didn't know what to look at first!

He decided on the ugly push popper. He is still dragging that thing around our house!

Daddy loves his muck boots! And Momma loves her tennis bracelet that daddy got her!

My Christmas blessings!

Santa also got the Lindley children a rocking chair to keep at our house!

And sadly, that is all the pictures that I took. After my parent's house, we darted to Mccomb to visit with Joey's family. I just love watching all of Hudson's cousins run around! And after our bellies were full and the rain died down, we headed back to Kiki's to start loading up our goodies.

Our families were so good to us this year. And I am so thankful we have them!
And so thankful for God and his baby Son that was born in that manger!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

15 months

Hudson is 15 months old today. I am not going to do a full blown update on him. But he's doing some funny things these days, and I don't want to forget them.

-Just started saying "gaaaww" (dog). He gets this proud look on his face whenever he says it
-He can say uh-oh, but sometimes he say it over and over. "uh-ohuh-ohuh-ohuh-ohuh-ho" with no break in between
-If asked where his socks are, he will look down at his feet
-Whenever he doesn't want to eat something, he covers his eyes and gives this pouty look. Its really cute
-Loves his mini wagons and LOVES to push them around
-This might be TMI, but sometimes when he needs to do his business, I'll catch him behind our dinner table
-We have a noise machine in his room, and his new favorite thing to do it turn it on and off with his foot (bc he sees us do that). He also likes to turn on and off the Christmas trees
-Cares nothing for books, tv or anything to do with sitting still
-Likes to take his shoes and socks off in the car. Very annoying :)
-Has a love/hate relationship with the vacuum cleaner
-Loves to hold my hand (insert heart melting)

I am just loving being home with him. Sometimes I feel like he misses being around other children, but I know he loves being with me. And he has the rest of his life to be with his friends :)

Happy Friday! And Happy Birthday Heather Beacom!
I will post on Christmas next. We got a new computer a few weeks ago, and I'm just now learning how to use it. Windows 8 is OOC!

Dedication

On December 2nd, Joey and I dedicated Hudson to the Lord at our church, Broadmoor.
It was such an amazing feeling to publically stand in front of God and our family and say that we plan on doing His work with our son.
We have been going to Broadmoor for about a year, and really just felt at home from the beginning. We LOVE Pastor Rob and his message. And the music constantly brings tears to my eyes.
It is slightly embarrassing to be that girl in church trying to wipe her tears away, but that is me a lot of times.
Anyways, back to the dedication, it was a GREAT day! Hudson decided he was going to act cray on stage and he threw his pap about 4 times. The last time almost got Rob in the back almost. Ha! But he did great! He also looked so cute in his tall knee socks and smocked white outfit.

My sweet family!

Can you see the smocked cross?

The Lindley crew at brunch

The Zito crew

Although my family is Catholic, they really enjoyed the service. My dad even mentioned how he liked the music....and that says a lot coming from him. He is a traditional kind of man.

Thank you Lord for giving us this precious angel. We promise to do to raise him knowing You and loving You!

And Happy almost birthday, Jesus!

Silly baby

If I can't find my child or he gets quiet for over a minute, I know where to find him.

Having FULL conversations with the vacuum cleaner.

Just normal life with a very active and very busy almost 15 month old.

Letter to the editor

Dear people who think my son is a girl,

How are you? Feeling ok? You obviously must be alittle off today, because you are confused. My child wearing head to toe baby blue, is in fact, a boy. Even his pap has blue on it. And his sippy. Just because he has a head full of beautiful, blonde hair; doesn't mean he is a girl. I appreciate that you think "she" is cute, but if you have a question, I'd really rather you refer to Hudson as "it". I'd still correct you, but without the crazy look on my face. Like I said, I do love a Hudson compliment, but just a BOY compliment.
Thanks! And have a great day!

Here are a few example of wear his identity was mistaken. Take note: he is in blue in all of these.

Love, Kristin and Hudson Lindley
