Will I always be a week behind?
Lillian turned two weeks old on October 30th. This is what our second week as a family of four (and stay at home mother of two children) looked like.
Hudson wanted to watch "tootles" in our bed. So me and my girl joined him.
Joey took Hudson to the lake on Saturday for some boy time. And, of course, he wore his boots and boy clothes!
Hudson loves the lakehouse and his Papa!
His favorite part? Riding the rhino
Meanwhile, me and this cutie stayed in our pjs. It is so crazy to me how much she looks like her brother!
Getting some stretchy time!
And some awake time.
Liz and Harlan visited and brought some yummy food!
We are so thankful for all the friends and family that have visited and brought us dinner! It has been a lifesaver not to worry about cooking.
Zach and Lillian.
Caught a gas smile. She is so tiny, but I swear she photographs chubby.
Look at me, already giving my sweet daughter a complex.
Naked time!
And please notice her two finger forehead.
How we stroll these days!
And bath
At two weeks (October 30th), we went to see Dr. Jones for weight check.
Lillian weighed 7 lbs 2 oz. Getting so big!!
Its nice to know that she likes nursing as much as I do. But this little girl still falls asleep so easily while eating. I try all the tricks: tickling her feet, stripping her down...and she still snoozes.
She was not excited about turning two weeks old. And neither was her mother
Every few days, something crazy happens. I get both babies down for afternoon naptime.
What What?!?!?! I haven't gotten to where I'm able to sleep yet, because pretty girl like to grunt. through naptime, but its nice to have to option to rest.
Best friends alert! Eva and Lillian are one week apart. I see lots of fun times ahead for these two!
And the week of Halloween, we practiced our head gear for the costume. I would distract him with the ipad. Ha!
Fun facts about Lillian this week:
-She hates the swaddleme blanket. But this momma knows that the swaddle is something they learn to love.
- On Sunday, November 3rd, her belly button fell off. Bring on the baths!
- She is finding her voice and will quickly use it if she's hungry, wet, or wants to be wrapped up for naptime
-Going every 3 hours during the day and bt 3-4 hours at night. I can't remember when we started to stretch it out with Hudson, but I have to keep reminding myself that she is little and less than a month old
- Brother bear is giving her more kisses, and like to watch her in the swing and on the monitor. Other than that, not interested.
-Still in premie gowns. Newborn swallow her whole, potato sack style
- Napping has started in her crib, but she is sleeping in the pod at night. She wakes up to eat and then pretty much goes right back down.
- Loves to be held and sleep on my chest. Can't say I mind it at all!
- Is the sweetest angel baby. We just love her to pieces!
