Sissy turns one!

Lillian Tate turned ONE year old on October 16th, 2014 at 9:17 am. What a year this has been!

Since I knew we'd only be in the new house for about 2 weeks when her birthday came, we planned her party for a few weeks after her birthday (this Sunday). But on her actual birth day, we had a fun day and cupcakes with family.

Last night as a infant.

Woke up as a ONE year old! And, of course, smiling!
Hudson loves blueberry muffins, so we always make them for his birthday... And Sissy got in on the transition.

And we had to sing happy birthday and wear her hat.

For lunch, Lillian ate her first chickfila nuggets and fries! And loved them! We met our BFFs Kate and Owen.

That night, my family came over. (Let's be honest, they walked the 50 yards from their house) Lillian had her first sweets... A pink cupcake! And she was excited!

That's a happy, sugary girl!

Lillian Lindley, you are 1/2 the love of our lives (other half is brother)! You're sweet demeanor and smiling nature always puts us in the best mood. You love all things pink and smocked, and this makes your mommy happy. You are the perfect combination of sassy and sweet. We couldn't love you more! Happy first birthday, my angel baby!

Lillian at ELEVEN and TWELVE months

So seriously, I have a ONE year old. Lillian turned one on October 16th, 2014. And she is the sweetest thing.
I have kind of been slacking on the month thing. I think I missed eleven months, so I'm going to make up for it now. Lillian's birthday party is this weekend (two weeks after her actual birthday). We just needed time to get the house set up...and it's still not fully done, but it is done enough to host a party. A pink party, at that!

Things about Lillian at ELEVEN and TWELVE months:
- Fully on whole milk. And loving her life because of it. In the last few weeks, we started making the sippy cup transition and that is going great, too! She still gets a bottle before bedtime but that's it. Milk with all three meals.
- Eating like a hawse. She eats mostly what I fix for dinner....mostly. But sometimes I have to hide the veggies in cheese. But still much easier than chicken-nuggets-Hudson. Sissy LOVES a carb. That apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Doesn't love green beans.
- Wearing 12 months mostly. The fall 12 month dresses are so long and she trips over them, but she is wearing them! Because they match her brother.
- Sleeping about 12 hours at night 7:00 pm-7:00 am. She takes some milk and goes back down for a bit. Napping two times a day. Short nap in the am and longer one with brother in the afternoon.
- WALKING everywhere. She started walking on September 3rd and has been full speed ahead ever since. She is in that full on toddler stage now: get into every.single.thing. And I have to re-direct her about 20 times per day. If its too quiet in the house, things are about to go horribly wrong. Last week, she straight up ate dog food.
- Loves board books, Mickey/Minnie mouse, messing with Hudson, running around and causing total destruction. For her birthday, she got a baby doll. Showing some interest in it, but still not that interested. Sissy loves her pap-pap, but she only gets it at night and naps. But sometimes, she sneaks in her room and grabs them. And thinks its the funniest thing!
- She is a hilarious child. Always smiling and has the cutest little laugh! And when she gets tickled, I about melt!
- Sometimes around 5 pm, she gets fussy, but you feed her and she's fine.
- Love her so much! People ask me if I'm sad she's turning one. And I am, but this stage she's in is so much fun! And each stage keeps getting better and better! And she is so smart! She can follow some simple commands like "give this to your brother" or "go put your pap in your bed" Love that Sissy with all my heart!

Girls weekend

The first weekend I October, my favorite phi mu ladies headed down to the coast for a relaxing weekend at the Beau Rivage. This was my first time at the Beau and it was a great time!
With the big move just a few days before the weekend, this mommy needed a getaway! And it was wonderful to be with my besties. Like I literally felt refreshed after the weekend.
Me and Linds were the first to arrive. So we checked out the scenes. Lots of people watching...even at a "nice" casino!

Friday night, most of the girls at at one of the Italian restaurants at the place, but me and Lindsey hit up the buffet. That thing was HUGE and just what I wanted! This weekend was about food, friends and relaxation.

Champagne brunch at Brittany's house watching the State game game. We won!

Love these ladies so so much! And we love an opportunity for a photo session.

We've been doing this laugh picture since bid day 2002. And yes, we are old.

That afternoon, we headed to the spa for massages. The Beau spa is so nice and we spent almost an hour after just relaxing in the hot tub area.

My roommates for the weekend!

Love my Crisp so much!!

Saturday night, we headed to Ocean Springs for dinner at this really nice Greek restaurant that started with a P. Can't remember the name but it was amazing!! We spent hours just sitting around and talking.

Love these ladies.

We've all known eachother for 12 years now and time is even sweeter with these friends. We can go months without seeing eachother and just pick right back up. This weekend was wonderful for my soul!
Love my DL besties!

Big week!

This is a big week for the Lindley babies! We visited the zoo and pumpkin patch. And sweet Lillian's birthday is on Thursday. Such a fun week!

On Monday, we headed to the Jackson Zoo with our friends Kate, Owen and Dudley. Hudson loves the zoo and I wish we went there more. Since Lillian is a full time walker these days, she wanted out of the stroller pretty quickly, but did great!
Hudson loves the otter!

Sweet Sissy just taking it all in.

Rhino. His language improvements amaze me daily. I know the school and his speech therapist has a lot to do with it. But so does his daddy. He is in charge of Hudson's books at night, they have this whole routine going, and Joey has taught him so much!

Flamingos!

Picture with the giraffe.

We also rode the train and carousal. Always a fan favorite!

On Wednesday, we went to the pumpkin patch with Hudson's school. And, of course, I had to bust out the matching pumpkin smocked.

It's hard getting everyone to look when a hayride is Involved.

Hudson loved petting Jake, the mini horse.

My hearts!

So we were allowed 2 pumpkins. And Hudson thought this patch was his to take him... All the pumpkins. It look a lot of convincing to just grab two (or three... Don't tell)

Love having these activities with my babies. It's exhausting, but totally worth it!!!

Happy Wednesday night!

More randoms

We've moved, and I suck. I just haven't felt like doing the whole blog thing. So I'm playing catchup.

I need to print off last years (and this year's) blog book, but I want to catch a coupon on blog2print. Who knows when that happens? No, serious. When does that happen?

So these are more iphone randoms.
Lillian and I picking out furniture at Miskelly. Yes, Iet her walk around barefoot. We are in shoes now.

Hudson's school pictures. I swear, we practiced for an hour on how to smile. And he has the most infectious smile.

Saying goodbye to the old house. Sissy loved to run around in the open spaces.

My Lowe's partner. That place is overwhelming!

Bath in Hudson's new bathroom.

And my big boy on his 3rd birthday. Love him to pieces!!!

celebrating October 1st with the bag of bones! Please look at Lillian holding Hudson's hand. Makes me melt!!

And we finally got a haircut. I know , I know, the boy needed it. But we've been so busy with the move!

And yesterday, I caught this. Their new favorite game. And sweet brother just lets her grab on.

Since we almost have a ONE year old, we upgraded in bows. Lillian's wardrobe is primarily pink and white. So I bought a white, light pink and dark pink bow. That baby has the rest of her life to wear funky colors. We are sticking to basics for now.

And I can't even talk about Lillian turning ONE next week. It's gross1

All for now!
