Beach trip-iPhone style

Beach pictures continued... You tired of them yet?
I really tried to use my mommy camera as much as possible, but sometimes it's just easier to use the phone.

Lillian's morning nap spot. Sister loves to snuggle

That sissy loves her Kiki!

The infamous slide. I think Brett and Joey rode that thing about 100 times.

Matching outfits!

This is one of my favorite pictures ever!!!

We were all coordinating the night we went to cobalt. The family that wears turquoise together, stays together.

Love my girl!

And my sweet boy! He just loved the sand and the water!

One of the best family shot we could get.

Hudson's obsessed with trucks held strong, even at the beach!

Rocking the mommy swim suit. I actually felt more comfortable in my bikini.

Kiki with her babies.

Hello sweet sissy! (And OOC cleavage)

Boys being boys. Joey loves to dig holes at the beach... And this year, brother was able to help!

This year was my favorite beach trip yet! And I've convince Joey to take us back at the end of the summer!

Beach trip 2014

Last week was our annual Zito-Lindley beach trip to Orange Beach.
We always go before Memorial Day but after the hangout fest. Such a great time to go because the weather is great, but its not that crowded. This year, the weather was AMAZING the entire trip. The water was warmer than usual and our days were filled with cloudless skies!

Joey found out 3-4 days before we were leaving that he couldnt come until Monday, so we made the trip down with Bubba. Instant birthcontrol for him!
But we made it and spent our first day on the beach sans daddy and all hands on deck with crazy Hudson.

I was also really worried about our littles sleeping on this trip. Hudson is a good sleeper for the most part...in his bed. And angel baby is so laid back, except when it comes to sleep. So expectations were low. Well, they did so great! We stuck Lillian in an extra-large, dark closet and she was good to go! Hudson slept in the big bed with us and in his small bed that we rented. We had a three bedroom condo at the Phoenix West and my parents let us have the big daddy master.

I had a big list of things to do with the babies while we went down there, but we spent most of our time at the beach and the pool. Oh yeah, and eating!

We set the tailgate tent up and baby pool for Lillian and she was happy as a clam. Hudson was just all over the place. He didn't sit still for 5 minutes. My dreams of cute beach pictures were shattered. I promise there were matching swim suits and smocked outfits galore! Ha!

Lillian's posting spot. Although she really liked to be held most of the time

Papa and Hudson had a grand time!

I loved watching Hudson playing in the water! That smile is so great!

Sweet Sissy!

My failed sibling beach photos

This sissy, she loooooved the water. She would giggle and kick when we got in the pool. She also loved being in the lazy river with me. I'd get in the tube and she would sit in my lap. Such a mommy's girl.

Modeling her Beaufort Bonnet

Again, matching swimmies were not fully taken advantage of.

She would cat nap on the beach in the mornings, and take her big nap in the afternoon in the pack in play. She sleeps with an ocean noise machine, so the real life thing was very relaxing to her.

I love these sweet babies so much!!!

Our last night at The Gulf. Such a fun place! Not sure why I haven't been there before!
Papa was not there bc he had to leave a day early for work stuff.

Basically, we were beach bums all week. We'd spend 3-4 hours out there in the am. Break for lunch and naps and then head back out to the beach/pool until it was time to get ready for dinner. Hudson was obsessed with the slide, so we spent the last 30-45 minutes of each beach session going down the slide.
We ate at all of our favorites: Cobalt, The Gulf, Shrimp Basket, Tacky Jacks.... Definitely got our seafood fix!

Lillian at SEVEN months old

Lillian Lindley is seven months (and 10 days) old!
Wowza...that time, it does not stop moving! I have said it again and again (and again and again) this child is an absolute joy.
We went to a cookout for memorial day and she wasn't feeling good. Turns out she had fluid on both ears. Anyways, when we walked up, she got overwhelmed and started squalling. I think that was the first time she's ever done that. You know you have a happy baby when everyone is shocked when she cries like that. Never happens.

Things about Lillian at SEVEN months old:
- As of today (05/27), she weighed 16 lbs 4 oz. She's still a little bit, but has some killer thigh rolls. They are the cutest things and absolutely juicy!
- Nursing 5 times a day these days. 6:15, 8:30, 12:30, 4:30, 7:00ish. We are officially doing solids two times a day with breakfast and dinner. She has started to get distracted with nursing, and she likes me to sing twinkle twinkle little star so she can relax.
- Speaking of solids, homegirl loooooves her food! I am making her baby food and she just goobles it up! So far, we've made: apples, pears, bananas, avocados, green beans, sweet peas, sweet potatoes, carrots. She loves them all. I've been mixing flavors for her too. Up next is summer squash. She also started mum-mums (rice crackers) and loves them. Sissy just likes to eat.
- She is wearing 6-9 months clothes, and some 12 months but those are still big. Size 2 diapers are still working for us.
- Sleep: naps has just started to improve. She will go bt 45-60 minutes before waking and taking two 1.5-2 hour naps a day. We've been putting her down at night around 7:15 and she's been sleeping until around 6:00-6:15 am. She nurses and goes back down until around 8:15-8:30. Some days are good and some days are bad with her sleep. I'm still learning to take it with a grain of salt.
- Sitting up like a champ. She can sit and reach for things, and today she went from all fours to sitting position. She is also so close to crawling. Her main method of mobility is scooting. That girl can scoot backwards on her belly like a pro!
- On the last day at the beach, we noticed she had two teeth sprouting. She has been drooling for the last month or so, but it hit me hard when I found them...My baby is not suppose to be big enough for a tooth. And here she is, with two teeth.
She loves: being held, watching every move her brother makes, food, her pap, the exersaucer (for about 10 minutes), her sophie giraffe, sitting in the high chair like a big girl, her toys that light up, and her mommy :)

What a year!

Thursday was our last day at Trinity for the year. Such a sweet school and they are so loving and patient with Hudson.
This year was a big one for Hudson. Since we started school in August, he has: turned two, learned to throw a mean temper tantrum, gained a baby sister, started speech therapy, discovered his absolute love for anything outside and vehicle related.... And so many more things!
Ms Tita, Ms Larue, and Ms Amanda were so nurturing to him! And I can't wait for them to love on Lillian when she starts 1-2 days a week in January.

This summer, Hudson is going to a local church's summer program to maintain some structure and routine. We are also doing weekly swimming lessons all summer. I'm hoping as the summer goes (and he grows), these things will be fun for him and not just exhausting for all of us...while sweet sissy is just along for the ride all the time.

Love my wild child, even when he makes me want to pull my hair out!

School's out for summer!

Mother's Day and such

Happy Mother's Day (late) to all my favorite mommies out there!
We had a great day with Kiki and our sweet babies!

Love my babies! Even when Hudson looks like a serial killer

And I love this. Baby Kristin and baby Lillian wearing the same dress. So happy my mom was so good about keeping our old things.

I'm getting them trained to smile at the same time! But seriously, I may have threatened Hudson to get him to take this picture... And sweet sissy just is up for whatever.

Crazy hair, don't care!

Last week, Hudson started swimming lessons. And in true Hudson Lindley style, he acted like a damn fool. Hoping this week is better!
You'd never know from these pictures that he was about to lose it when he got in the water! That boy absolutely drives me crazy... Sometimes I just have to laugh at him bc If not, I'll cry. Life with a two year old- never a dull moment!

So excited!

Last week, I also had the Junior league spring luncheon.
I'm squatting bc my way-too-high wedges made me a giant.

I will die of cuteness overload with this one! We are having way too much fun with the summer bubbles!

We went to a cookout for Jessie's birthday! Lillian got to wear another cutie summer bubbles. I got this one right when I found out I was having a girl! And Jen was determined to make her walk.

Our family!

Right before Ann Farris made her big debut!!! Doesn't Jennifer look great!?!

Playing at the reunion beach with Kate. It was such great weather and we had great mommy talks, too!

Lillian is loving her homemade carrots and pears! And I'm loving making her baby food!

Happy Wednesday!!
