Hudson is TWO

Hudson Lindley turned TWO years old on September 29th!
We had a fun weekend filled with birthday party fun and loving on our sweet boy!
I will do another post about his birthday party, but I thought I'd use some of the selfies from the party for his two year old post.
Side note: he had an absolute blast at The Little Gym. Highly recommend having a party there! Especially if you are 36 weeks fat pregnant.

Some things about Hudson at 24 months:
- Wearing 2T everything and I just bumped him up to size 5 diapers for comfort.
- We are about to start 2% milk after the ok from Dr. Jones.  Still mostly milk and water, but will have a juice at parties or special occasions.
- Eating has gotten alittle better, but we have to basically force him to eat sometimes.
His new favorite foods are: Danish wedding cookies, pretzel sticks, roast and rice, yogurt covered pretzels, any kinds of chips
Obsessions: "boons" (balloons), "weeee" (fourwheeler), trucks, playing outside, playing "owl-mo" and tozzle on the ipad, any slide that's outside, big trampoline (my parents got him one for his birthday). The biggest probably being the fourwheeler. "gogogogogo weeee dad-dy"
- Sleeping GREAT in his big boy crib bed. Basically, its a big crib because he doesn't have blanket or pillows, but who's being picky here?!? Sleeping 7:30-7:30. He would probably sleep longer, but the dang school buses wake him up. He is an extremely light sleeper...gets it from  his momma. He still doesn't understand he can climb out.
Nightly routine includes: books (always goodnight goodnight construction site), picture-word books, and lights out.
- The boy still loves his pap-paps. He sleeps with 4-5 of them, but only has them in the bed. I was hoping to be totally rid of them before Lillian comes, but it is just not happening right now.
- Loves the acts of brushing his teeth, but not the actual brushing of the teeth. He likes to stand on his little stool, turn on the water, and put his brush in it. But he tolerates the actual brushing now.
- Loves, loves, loves his dad-dy. He will scream his name at the top of his lungs. I think its so cute that they are buddies, and I know Joey is in hog heaven. Its rare if I hear mommy anymore. But he always comes to me in distress.
 - He is fully aware what time-out is and where it is located. We visit that place often these days.
- Starting to really test us on things. He gets this look, and I swear it is his daddy's face. It truly is hard not to laugh sometimes.
- Is always willing to give kisses and hugs. I would take a million of your kisses a day, if you'd let me.
- Loves his "guhs guhs" and ri-ri". He will chase Riley around the house until Riley just collapses on the floor.
- Started to be quite the dare devil and will try to jump off any surface possible.
- New words: goat, boat, dump (dump truck), ousssse (house), que (two), owl-mo, moon
- Never stops going. Ever.

Hudson Lindley,
These past two years have been an amazingly wonderful and trying experience. You are a complete joy and a complete exhaustion all at the same time. We love you so so much and couldn't imagine this life without you! I know you will make the best big brother (once you adjust to the whole sharing attention thing), and be a little protector for Lillian. You have the most tender heart and get your feelings hurt pretty easily, but I love that about you! You play hard and will only stop when we make you. Sometimes, I don't give you enough credit...you really are amazing! Always know you are mommy's little baby boy! And no one will ever love you more!

Big week!

This weekend, a certain blonde hair, blue eyed baby boy turns TWO YEARS OLD! Can you believe it?!?
Hudson's birthday party is this Saturday and his actual day of birth (September 29th) is Sunday. So we have a big weekend ahead of us.
(not to mention I am dilated and starting having contractions this weekend. I keep coaching Lillian on the importance of birthdays in the Lindley household. She can't come and before this weekend and rain on brother's bday parade)

His birthday is going to be low key compared to the production that was his first birthday party.
Its at the Little Gym at Renaissance. All he really cares about is running around like a crazy person, so this place is perfect for him!

To start the birthday week off, I thought I would write about some of his quirks he has these days. If you really know my son, you know that he has my personality. Bless him for that.
Here are some things he's currently obsessed with:
1. The fourwheeler or "the wee" as he calls it. We can't even go outside these days without him freaking out over it. His newest thing to say is "gogogogogogogo weeeeeeee" He also calls my dad's zero turn a "wee" and demands he rides when he visits his Papa.

Riding his little wee in the backyard.

2. Brushing his "teeeeeth" He loves to stand on his little stool in his big boy room. He likes to hold his hand under the water. And put the toothpaste on the brush. But he doesn't love the actual brushing part.
3. He loves the ABC Elmo app on my iPad. Calls it "ma ma ma" bc of a cow that's on there. He also loves Tozzle, which is a puzzle game.
4. Having 4-5 paps (pacis) in the big boy bed with him. A habit we will be working on soon to break.
5. Bu-bbles. Enough said.

What he's not a fan of:
1. Me dropping him off at MMO. The initial freakout is bad, and then he gets over it. Can we say separation anxiety?
2. And for that matter, circle time and art time at MMO. He's just not ready for that structure. 3.Mixing his food together. We eat everything separate as one at a time at our house
4. Telling him we aren't riding the four wheeler at the exact time he wants. Spoiled rotten.

Bless his angel bones, I love him so much. One of my favorite times with him is in the morning watching mickey. When it first turns on, he hugs me big time and smiles as big as he can. Melts my little hormonal heart!

Happy birthday week to the little love of my life!

BBB

Dear big boy bed (BBB for short),

I've been dreading you for months! I am not a big fan of change, but with Lillian coming soon, it was time to make the big move. His new room wasn't ready (and still isn't fully decorated), but I really wanted to start on a Friday night incase things when crazytown. And it could have gone either way.... Hudson could take to you or there could be a cheap, Walmart crib in his new room after a few days.

I am happy to report that Hudson took to you very well. He doesn't sleep with a pillow or blanket, so really it's like a really big crib. But, it's a bed in a new room. And for that, I am greatful!

Please continue to be good to us, because this very pregnant mommy can't take too much more stress!

Love,
Hudson and his fat/almost 35 weeks pregnant mother

For a few days before the move, we read books in his bed. And started talking it up!

Please notice how we rigged this thing up with pillows.

I think I woke up every hour looking at the monitor... But who am I kidding, it's Wednesday and I still wake up alot to check on him.
This was at 3:27 am.

All smiles after his first night in the bed! I did give him some Benadryl to assist with the process. #sorryimnotsorry

Second night, just hanging out staring at the light on the camera.

Going....going

Gone! Fell asleep sitting up! I soon went in there to reposition him.

I am truly so proud of Hudson. He's napped and slept (really well) in his new bed since Friday. Sometimes, I get concerned that he's not up to the "normal" 2 year old speed, but then he goes and totally surprises me.
He has fallen out twice though. I've looked around 5 am on Sunday night and Monday night and I couldn't find him. Of course, I freaked and ran in. And bless that sweet boy was just snoozing on the pillows/blankets I had lined around his bed.
So I ordered some extra long bed rails from amazon that will be here Tom. Love amazon prime!

So once we moved him in, we started work on sister's room! Just a sneak peak of her sweet bedding.

In Lillian news, I went to the OB yesterday. I've been having alot of "pressure" and pain in my lower belly. I carry my babies so low, but it truly feels like she's in the canal just ready to come. So Dr. Shiflett checked me, and sure enough, I'm about 1 cm dialated. And the planner I am, talked with her about when she could come....or when we could assist her in making her appearance. So, if I make it to 39 weeks, we are inducing on October 21st. I had Hudson at 37 weeks... Hoping for around that time with her.
Actually, anytime after Hudson's birthday and party, September 29th is good with me.

So realistically, about a month or less until we are a family of four!

I'll leave you with a sweet picture of my pj wearing boy!

Happy Wednesday!

#pattieparty

So a few weekends ago, Joey's best friend married one of my best sorority sisters. Y'all, this was a seriously fun wedding weekend in Hattiesburg!

Zach and Jennifer. The beautiful couple.

I also kinda thought of this as a mini babymoon for the Lindleys.
And yes, I looked like I was about to pop, but no no I was only 31 weeks. Don't get it twisted!

On Saturday, I got a pedicure with lexie while Joey hung out with the boys and did groomsmen things. Apparently, they thought my feet needed some serious work.

Wedding night!

Crispies!

With the gorgeous bride!!!

Mr and Mrs Zach Pattie

Joey with his girls.

Love this awkward pose of me and my bestie. The first one ours faces were squeezed together and she told me, "that pose is not doing you any favors". She was right. And bless her honesty.

Zach and Jen dancing the night away. Literally. We stayed until the band shut down around 12 am.

Such a great weekend with literally all my best friends. It was so fun to celebrate with the phi mus and the McComb friends that I've become so close with. Best of both worlds!

The Lindleys are so happy for y'all and so thankful that y'all are right down the road!

Lately

Lately, I feel like we've been busy, but I'm not sure with what. Between trying to get ready for Lillian and Hudson's big boy room, it all seems like a blur. Plus trying to get Hudson into the swing at MMO and into that new routine, I'm exhausted!

So here is a few pictures of my sweet boy

New haircut on Friday

Assuming his position at the splash pad.

Love Carson and Hudson's crazy ways!

First time with markers. He wanted to color himself.

Our first Annie Sloan chalk paint experience. And I use "our" very lightly. Joey did the whole thing!

The finished product! Joey did so good!

It matches this piece perfectly. Both are for Hudson's new room.

Alittle blurry but Hudson has started showing major interest with Elmo. But he calls him "maw maw maw" because of the FaceTime with Elmo app. Ha!

Today we cooked out with my parents and this is Hudson's favorite thing to do. Ride the "weeee" with Papa!

Happy Labor Day!

I'd also like to note that my birthday is this week. And it's a big one. Being old and fat is no fun!
