In a mood

Last night, the usually sweet and smiling Hudson Lindley was in a mood... And here is the photographic evidence.

Exhibit A

Even the light show couldn't perk him up

I don't want to smile... All I want is my pap.

He later said to me, "mom, sometimes I just like to be serious."

Bless his bones!

We are starting a new schedule where he eats every 3.5 hours and we went from 6 to 5 feedings a day.We are also putting him down earlier, too.

I guess if you took away some of my food and forced me to sleep longer, i'd be grumpy too.

I love you, Joseph Hudson Lindley!

Funny

Funny story.

Joey was changing Hudson last week. Now, this is not a new thing. He changes him frequently. And it is also not new that we have a little baby boy, who has a tee tee. Yeah, I said it.. Tee tee. So when you change him, you always have to be prepared.

Joey was changing Hudson and I hear him calling my name. I go in there and this is what I see: Hudson smiling so big with pee all over him. Eyes, nose, hair, ears... Everywhere. And Joey standing there with his shirt off. Apparently, when the "stream" started, the only thing Joey thought to do was strip down and throw the shirt on Hudson. Like that would help. So now we have a naked, pee soaked baby and a half naked daddy. Just hanging out, like it's a normal day.

I asked Joey why he decided to throw his shirt on him, and he said he was trying to stop the "stream"...Whatever gets the job done I guess.

And here is my little bubby on his changing table. That thing makes him so happy

In these pictures, he is "pee free"

Going to school

Last night, me and the phi mu ladies ventured to Greenwood to the Viking cooking school. It was so much fun! We had a private class and made the food from 'The Help'.

On the menu: Minnie's fried chicken, greens, mac and cheese, biscuits, and cornbread. And for dessert: caramel cake and chocolate pie. Yummo! All made from scratch. Or really scratch-ish bc Leigh Ann (our instructor) helped prepare things first. And at the end, you get to eat everything... It was fabulous!

Y'all, this was so much fun! Definitely was a great night with my best friends.

Love my sweet friends!

So domestic!

I spy a new mom hair cut. Yes, I got SEVEN inches cut off last week!

Stirring that pot, making those greens

Sweet Kelly

It really was a great night. And don't worry, the trusty pump came with me to Greenwood. That thing will be a better traveler than me after it's all said and done... I think I'll give it a name. Bessie.

Bessie, the pump, and myself had a great Saturday night with great friends.

Happy Sunday!

What's so funny?

Hello there! And happy new year to you!
I hope you enjoyed all the fun-ness that is NYE. I enjoyed our night from the couch and was in bed by 10:30. We really do it big these days! Moving on. It has come to my attention that this blog has gotten boring. Yep, I said it, BORING. That is the response I got. Thanks, Alyssa! So I started ready my older blog posts from 2010 and early 2011... And you know what? I was kinda funny. The big question is 'what happened?'

I'll tell you what happened.....

Hudson Lindley happened.
And no, my child is not cross eyed.

So I think I still have humorous moments, but they might involve poop, nursing, baby toys, etc. and I thought I was being nice by sparing you from some of that. Motherhood is one of those life changing things... Once it happens, you can never go fully go back to the way you were before. And I am totally ok with that! So I am going to attempt to talk about things non baby related. But how do I do this when my whole life right now is wrapped up in that sweet angel love? Maybe one day.

Until then, here is another picture of my beloved.

Vegged out before bedtime
