countdown...

i am very pleased to announce that ONE month from now i will have my doctorate of physical therapy! this has been a long process. 4 years of undergrad (5 if you count summer school) and 3 years of pt school...wow!!! too much schooling. and all this time without a pay check. most of my friends have been working for 3 years and enjoying all the luxuries of working (i.e. cars, houses, jewelry, trips, etc) and soon it will be my turn!!!! and my sweet hubby will be equally as excited too....for he pays for everything (with some help from both our parents)! so i know i am a month early, but the countdown has begun...to becoming apart of the working world. yeh for may 22 at 10:00 am!

I'm Back!

Hey there. So i am officially back from my break from blogging. Twilight was AMAZING and i highly recommend it. I have watched the movie a half a dozen times, read all four books in a week and a half, and now own the soundtrack. I know i sound like an obsessed teenager, but i never get this way about things...might as well let myself indulge every once in awhile. But i am back now and with tons of things to talk about. Plus, i now discovered that I actually have readers...who knew!

First, my friends Becky and Ben got married a few weeks ago. Their wedding was so much fun and they are a wonderful couple! Congrats Becky Eidt, we are so happy for you two!!!
Next, my one of my very best friends Jessica Bailey is getting married (yeh!)...and her wedding festivities have begun. Definately fun times ahead. Her wedding is May 16th in madison. This is a picture of her and her fiance, Derek.

Lastly, we finally got our puppy!!! RILEY is here. She is so so sweet and super cute, but I know that we will have our hands full with this one. We got her last night, and she has kept us very busy ever since. Today, we went to my parents lakehouse and took both Guss and the new addition. We got to hang out with my mom's side of the family. Of course, they loved her too...and were tickled by the way she would fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I could barely concentrate on the 70lbs of crawfish without worrying about Riley or Guss getting into something that they shouldn't...note to self: they are dogs, let them be dogs, they don't need to be watched like a hawk.

On a side note about the new pup, my first child Guss is not taking it too well. He doesn't quite understand that she is here to stay. Hopefully they will be BFF in no time. Also, i thought this was funny...last night (our first night with her), we put her in the kennel as far away from us as possible. I knew that she was going to cry, but Joey was convinced that she loved her kennel already and she would be ok. So in the middle of the night, we hear the screams (they were bad), and Joey actually asks if i thought Riley was trying to commit suicide in her kennel...REALLY JOEY? i had to wake myself up for that comment and laugh alittle. No, she was not trying to commit suicide, she was just scared of her first night away from her mom and brothers and sisters.
We are welcome to any suggestions/tips on puppy training a lab....we need all the advice we can get!
hope everyone has a very happy easter!!!

ADDICTION

I am taking a vacation from blogging...why you ask? Because I am totally, completely mindblowingly OBSESSED WITH TWILIGHT. I read the first book in 3 days, and I will finish the second one in 2 days. (bought it yesterday, and haven't been able to put it down). I always said I wouldn't jump on the bandwagon...but now I am the leader of the bandwagon. Its sad. And Joey feels as if he has lost his wife to a vampire (and right now, he has).
So until I get over my obsession and finish the entire series...and watch the movie a million times, I will not be posting. Back to the vampires!
