#Ibelieve

#Ibelieve....that I will give major props to all the single parents out there!

Man, it can be tough with a soon-to-be toddler and no one to help!
I say "no one" very loosely. If I really needed assistance, I have tons of great people I could call!
Daddy was out of town at a conference all weekend and Kiki is currently on a cruise (and Papa Frank was at the lake most of the weekend)

We actually had a great weekend together, Hudson and I.  But with getting him ready for errands, church, fall fest, and the other daily activities at home...I'm exhausted!
Welcome to your new life, future stay at home mom

Either my blurry child is teething again, he needs tubes, or he's just fussy sometimes.
Right now, it really is the luck of the draw!

Bipolar baby- sweet angel pumpkin!
And please notice his mouth, we are working on 8 teeth!
Hanging out in our pumpkin pjs on Saturday morning

Scarecrow smocked and baby uggs for errands
I could eat that sweet smile up!

I am in love with him!

I noticed after a wardrobe change, that he was in ole miss colors. We needed to be in maroon on Saturday

And this baby was just bound and determined to go outside...so we had to bundle up!

So very thankful that the Beacoms fed me on Friday night and we carved pumpkins.
And Saturday night, instead of watching the game with friends, I watched it alone. In bed. And I might have ordered pizza and breadsticks. And I might have stuffed my face. And between that night and yesterday, there might be only 3 pieces left. Ooops!

It was a fun, relaxing weekend with my little man but I am so glad Josie is coming back today!
God love that man because he truly does take care of our family!

Up next, Fun Fest with Jessica and Carson
Happy Monday all!

pumpkin patch fun!

Last weekend, we visited the Nichols-Boyd Pumpkin Patch with The Beacoms.
It was definitely a fun day! And of course, the big momma camera had to come with us.
We were excited to finally wear our monogram pumpkin longall.

My boys

You will notice throughout these pictures, that both Hudson and Claire pretty much refused to look at the camera...I guess it was stimulation overload.

And yes, it is time for another haircut for my child

Claire and Heather

Look at that angel face!

Mommies and babies

Hayride fun!

And now the patch part. To me, it seemed that they just threw a bunch of pumpkins in an open field.
I guess in my head, I was expecting them to be on vines or something...maybe a leaf here or there?

Again, they just refused to look

Take it to haircut city

Decent family picture. Love my sweet boys!

Those Beacoms!

And this is when we knew to call it a day. Claire's face says it all!

And this was Hudson on the way home....laaaaaid out!

After the patch, we demolished some Mexican! Like, took it down!
Fun family day!

Happy birthday daddy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!
Joey "Josie" Lindley turns the big 3-0 today!

You are the best husband and daddy anyone could ask for!

Joey's coupon book from Hudson. Every daddy who turns 30 needs one!

And no deer hunter's birthday is complete without a bag of corn.

I love you to the moon, Joey Lindley! And I hope your birthday is spectacular!
We had a surprise-that-wasn't-a-surprise dinner for him on Friday night and a birthday wedding on Saturday night.

So what does the birthday boy suggest for dinner tonight with my family? OUTBACK?!?
The boy loves a blooming onion, so a blooming onion we will get!

changes

Happy Thursday to you!
Hudson Lindley's winter hat came in last night, so we decided to have a photoshoot.
He is just really cruising along these days...it still makes me so nervous!
I want to just pillow down my whole house because when he falls (which is often) I'm just scared this fall will be the one that's concussion related.

But please look at the joy in that baby's face!

That hat will come in handy in a few months...we don't need any more ear infections

And he's off. He still has that wide BOS and arms in the air for balance.

So some exciting news that has come our way:
As of last Friday, I officially resigned from my hospital and will be changing my occupation to stay at home mommy!
I couldn't be more thrilled about the opportunity to be home with our son. Since September 29th, 2011, I have struggled with this and its nice to finally be at peace. See, before Hudson was born, I never imagined I'd want to stay at home. Never even crossed my mind. I went to college for 8 years to do what I do, and I really do enjoy what I do....and even more, I LOVE where I work. But after he was born, ev-er-y-thing changed. And I immediately ate my words. So this decision was definitely not taken lightly. After much prayer and much, much thought, Joey and I decided it was the best thing for our family in this season of our life. Hudson will be off to college soon (MSU, of course) and I am just so thrilled to have this time with him.

So, I will be here until Nov. 9th. And then I will work 1-ish days a week. I was pretty addement about keeping up with my skills and contributing what I can. This is going to be such a life change for us, but I am so so excited about the future!

I have already been researching free activities for toddlers. We are going to be hitting up the library,  music class, the zoo. Any other suggestions? Hudson is not going to know what to do with himself. I have also been researching money saving techniques....for I do love to spend. And this will have to be drastically cut out.
So I am in constant prayer that we are making the right decision and that everything will work itself out.
God is totally in control, and I know this...but the worry-wart in me keeps creeping up!

So this is where I could use your advice. I'd love any tips/tricks on money saving website, etc. My biggest money saving techniques so far are: stay away from all smocked facebook sites. They get me everytime!
Also, any free or inexpensive fun things for toddlers (and mommies) to do?

Have a great day! It's almost Friday!

12 months

I am so late with this post.

Hudson Lindley turned 1 year old on September 29th!
And this was also his birthday party day!

Hudson at 1 year old is so much fun. He's got quite the personality, and he is literally such a joy!
Some things Hudson is doing now:
- Eating 3 solid meals a day and 2-3 sippies of whole milk. His favorite foods are green beans, yogurt, baby goldfish, string cheese, cheese and rice, bread, applesauce, and black eyed peas. We just introduced meats at one year, so he's been enjoying chicken, beef raviolis, and even fried catfish.
- Weighing in at 21 lbs 9 oz last week
- Wearing size 3 diapers and most 12-18 month clothes
- Just starting wearing shoes. He doesn't love walking in them, but we are practicing for the colder months
- Walking so much better now. Hasn't starting running yet, but he will initiate and walk across the room. Crawling is still so much faster for him.
- Loves his pap when he's upset or sleeping
- Sleeping 12 hours at night. Napping is not good, but we are going to work on that very soon! I read in babywise awhile ago that his napping routine when he was 0-3 mths will pretty much stick throughout his napping years. And this has been pretty true. We consistently don't take good, long naps.
- Saying momma and dada, bye bye, and some form of dog.
- He can wave byebye, clap, do the Indian call. I am trying to teach him to give kisses and say thank you.
- Loves all his new birthday presents. We've only opened about 1/3 of them. He especially loves the wagon, his John deer truck, drum set, and cozy truck. Balls are still his absolute favorite.
- Has really starting to push th limits as far as being BAD! Ha! He will know he's doing something wrong, or I will tell him no, and he will look me straight in the eye and do it anyway. He thinks it's so funny! We've had to start baby pops on the hand.
- He's got the most sensitive little personality. He gets his feelings hurt so easily. And then wants to be consoled.
- LOVES his momma right now. He's been so clingy to me lately... And I can't say I don't love it.
- Always up for a quick photo session with mom. He knows exactly what to do when that camera is stuck in his face
- Doesn't love grass on his bare feet....Daddy is working on that!
-Loves to be outside (just not stepping in the grass)
- He is just sweet as sugar! We are in love with him!

These were taken the day before his birthday. And yes, he hair had been cut that week!
Its already time for another baby trim

The rest of these were taken after a major fit. Notice the teary eyes

Look at that pouty face!

Dear Hudson Lindley,
You are the absolute love of my life! Every day I just love you more and more. God truly blessed me when He picked me for your mother! It is so fun to watch you learn and grow. Please love me forever, because I know I will love you forever! And I hope that we are teaching you all the little things you need to know. I get to spend more time with you soon and I am super excited about that! I love you to the moon and back!
Love, mommy

What's been going on

I currently have a sweet baby boy napping on me right now.

We are at our lakehouse and sweet Hudson just passed out!

We have been busy little people these last few weeks. Daddy has been traveling with his new job, and mommy and baby have been on the move!

Spending lots of time in the wagon

Me and Syss at the canton flea market. Maybe the roughest picture of me... Ever!

A few of my finds.
I am not excite about this shirt, but daddy will love it!

I am so glad I decided on this pumpkin! There were lots of options at the CFM. This was actually at the first booth we went to on the square at about 5:45. They were sold out of these by 7:00 am.

I thought this was a cute idea.... But I didn't purchase. I figure my friend hobby lobby can help me make this one.

Last night, we went to the Beacoms to play and eat. Hudson had quite the 'tude and didn't want to share the balls.

But they do love eachother!

I went to FOUR stores looking for these gems.... How delish do these look?

Today marked the first day for NO bottles in the Lindley household. Hudson had pretty much given up the bottle, but he still liked it in the morning. He had his milk sippy this am and we are transitioning well!

It's just hard to get out of the "counting ounces" mindset. My pediatrician recommended 2-3 cups a day. What's it like not to measure? I'm starting to find out!

I guess my baby isn't a baby anymore!

Me and my date for the day. Lakehouse swing. Beautiful day. Beautiful view and the crazy Binghams.

The only thing that will make it perfect is a daddy!

Happy Saturday! Go dawgs!

Big and exciting news coming up soon!
