Barnes Thomas Lindley arrived on March 18, 2015 at 8:46 am. He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and 19.5 inches long. Out shortest and fattest baby yet :) Might I add, he's perfect in every way!!!
I'd been saying for months that this baby would come on March 18. And he did! With a little nudge in the right direction from my doc and some old wives tales.
We went into OB receiving around 8:30 the night before having contractions. They weren't crazy bad yet, but I wanted to get up there before they got crazy bad. I was still 3 cm from the my morning OB appt, and the first year resident wasn't planning on keeping me. But after a few tears and (not so) friendly conversation, she called my doc and my doc said, "this is her third, she's 3 cm having contractions every 4-6 mins, admit her!" So up we went to the "transformers" room where we'd have our baby.
Might I add that by the time we got to room and I was checked, I was 5 cm. Take that, OB receiving resident.... Kidding. (Not really, I'm still bitter with her).
So by the time we got in room, hooked up, checked, 45 mins of 4cm, jump-out-of-the-bed painful contractions, and finally the epidural, it was around 3:00 am. We got some rest, but I progressed faster than expected....and especially since pitocin was not given. So I basically had to wait until my doc showed up for her day. When she did, she said I was at 9-10 cm and we could push. I politely told her I'd like a minute to refresh my hair and makeup. And bless her angel bones, she said I could. I feel like after four years of seeing my lady parts pretty consistently and helping me push out three babies, me and this woman should be bffs!
Flash forward to 8:40 am, she came into the room like they do, I pushed twice and we had our sweet Bonusbabybarnes!

Parents of THREE

With my two very wild bigs! LOVE them so much!

Barnes has the sweetest, chubbiest, kissable cheeks ever!

Daddy practicing his multitasking skills

And the Lord provides with this one... Our sweet sitter Emily! She is such a blessing to our family!

The next day, he was still alittle swollen, and he reminded me of an old man... With those cheeks and that hair!

Kiki and bubba getting some loving!

His hair looks dark, but when it's in the light, it's a dirty blonde. Darker than Hudson's, but not as dark as Lillian's.

And what seemed like 2 seconds later, it was time to go home to our wild crew. That's the thing about having a second, third, etc baby.... Life continues to happen at home and time doesn't stop like it did with your first. It's a fun and exciting time, but also very busy!

Sweet cheeks on the way home. When he left the hospital, he weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and his bili levels were elevated... Which is typical in breastfed babies. So we made an appt for 3 days later to get it checked.

Just like that, he made our family complete! Pure Joy and total fulfillment continues to rush over me when I think about it.
These pictures are just the tip of the iceberg. I plan to get fully caught up soon!
