Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, we try to see as much family as possible...such a fun time!
We started our marathon at Broadmoor's Christmas afternoon services. And it was beautiful! It is easy to get caught up in the hoopla of the holidays...I know I do! But I tried my hardest to stop and think about what Christmas was really about. And couldn't help but get misty thinking about Mary and her baby newborn, Jesus. Broadmoor, of course, brought out the Christmas waterworks in me.
Christmas Eve, we have our long standing tradition of going to my Uncle Jesse and Nanny's house.
We got there after church around 6:30...and by that time, the kids are in prime form. So I didn't take too many pictures because I was trying to wrangle the Christmas crazies. But we had a blast over there and the big cousins always do a great job of entertaining the baby cousins. What fun it will be when we have our bonusbabybarnes next year?!!!
Poppy LOVES Lillian. He is such a sweet soul and is always so gentle with her. I keep reminding him that she is probably more rough than most 14 month olds.
Our best attempt at a family photo!
After we got home and the babes in bed, the Santa Lindleys got to work.
And Santa couldn't leave sweet Barnes out...I think that child already has more clothes than everyone in this family.
Christmas morning, we woke up and were definitely more excited about the whole Santa thing than the kids. But once they started looking at the loot, they started to understand that this was their stuff.
Lillian went straight for her chair. She loves Hudson's anywhere chair, so she definitely needed her own.
Hudson loves his MSU tackle buddy. I must admit that thing is pretty cool!
And the horse....I saw these at Mistletoe and knew Hudson would love it. But I didn't love the pricey amount they were asking at mistletoe, so I found it online for much cheaper. I might be the best online deal finder evaaaaa!
After we did a short Santa at our house, we moved to Kiki and Papa's house. Santa Kiki totally outdid herself...like always!
Leave it to Sissy to find Olaf from Frozen...doesn't matter that its in Hudson's stuff.
Since Lillian has been born, I feel like she's learned to play with trucks and baby boy blue stuff....plus she will have two brothers. Sissy needs to stay my prissy girly, girl. This Christmas, she got some pink in her life. And notice the pink kitchen and baby stroller in the background!
After a few hours of play and eating delicious breakfast food, we backed up and headed to Mccomb for Joey's family. I love that we are able to get everyone in, but man it can be exhausting at times! By the end of the day, everyone was wiped!!
Christmas 2014 was the best one yet! I only thought I enjoyed Christmas when I was younger...Christmas with children will blow your mind! It takes it to a whole other level!
Lastly, I have to brag on Santa Joey. He got me exactly what I wanted for Christmas.... a new mommy ride!
Yall, why didn't I get this thing sooner?? Doors that open by themselves, room for a football team, dual screen TV, vacuum...oh my! LOVE IT!
Thank you Joey Lindley!
I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! And Happy Birthday Jesus!!!
