We are officially over the halfway point to meeting our sweet Lillian. And I couldn't be more excited!
But there is still LOTS to do. My biggest thing I want to accomplish is getting big brother in his new room and his big boy bed. I am sooo nervous about this one. Kiki found the most perfect bed at an antique shop in Greenwood. Its getting work done right now. I am pretty sure I've nailed down bedding and my color scheme, but need to start ordering that stuff.
I also have to revamp Hudson's very baby blue nursery into a very baby pink sweet nursery.
Luckily, we are using all the same furniture, so just changing some of the bedding, painting, and adding some sweet Lillian touches.
I thought about attempting the potty training process with Hudson before the new baby comes, but I just don't think he will be ready. He will be two on September 29th. He tells me when he "pooooh pooooohs" but I just don't think he would get the whole process. So i'll probably wait until closer to 2.5 and i've regained some of my sanity from newborn Lil.
This is me at 12 weeks at Jamie's wedding
By that time, the bump couldn't be hidden.
At my 14 week appt (I was 14 weeks and 4 days), my doc said we could look at the gender. This was a no-go. The parts were there, but her legs were closed.
At 16 weeks, I begged my friend Briana to take a look at UMC. They saw girl parts, but couldn't say for sure. The following week, we went to the beach and I secretly bought a few girly items. Hudson had a few carters outfits when he was little. I don't dig all that stuff that says "daddy's big boy" or "momma's rock star" I just hate that crap. But I was pleasantly surprised that alot of the carters girl stuff doesn't have to add an adjective and noun to every pink clothing item they sell.
And at 18 weeks and 4 days, we got the full confirmation. Lillian Tate Lindley was on the way.
And it has been a smocked world-wind ever since. Those facebook deals get me every time! And like I was telling Joey, they really are good deals. So if she's going to wear them regardless, might as well save a buck.
I started feeling little flutters around 16 weeks. Is she moving or is that gas? Ha! By 18 weeks, there was no denying I was feeling her move. And at 20 weeks, Joey felt her. She's active, that one. And I am loving every minute of those little jabs.
And now we are officially caught up on sweet Lillian. Love her so much already!
But I can't forget about my current only child. The sweet love of my life!
He continues to make me feel exhausted and over joyed with love on a daily basis.
I've been trying to get him to say "Sissy" or "Lil" Its a work in progress.
This is my sweaty boy at the park yesterday. He looks like a big boy in his polo hat. That thing is one size fits all. Apparently one size does not include a child with more hair than his mom or dad...combined!
Happy Thursday!
