This weekend was a fun one!
I got to get out on Saturday morning and get a pedicure and do some shopping. Mommy needed some new spring clothes in a bad way!
That afternoon, Hudson and I had a playdate with Amy Grace and John Franklin Warren.
I love those two!
I have talked about Amy a million times on the blog...but she really is amazing! And her little boy is super cute. I can just imagine Hudson and JF running around together in a few years.
We decided to meet at the Renaissance Art Festival. It was fun to stroll these little ones around.
I left my camera at home, so these were taken with the ole Iphone
Mommies and their sweet boys!
Excuse my sweaty beast self, it was HOT on Saturday!

And Hudson is trying to teeth these days.
His motto is "insert fingers in mouth at.all.times"

Amy Grace and sweet baby JF.
He is 4 months younger than Mr. Hudson

We ended to day with a snack and drink from Peppers. Fun times!
We also ate at Cock of the Walk for some good southern fried food with the Beacoms (pictures to come)
On Sunday, the Lindleys made a quick trip to Babies R Us to pick up a few things. I would love it if they built one of those next to my house...I mean, that store has it all.
And bless their bones for its 20% off coupons they send me.
I got this cute seat cover for restaurants and grocery carts.
Floppy Seat in turquiose fizz
Also, I've been wanting to make my own baby food. Yes, I am domestic.
So, I purchased this little guy. It's actually quite easy to do. Chop stuff up, add purified water, and puree.
I attempted bananas last night. They are slimmy, but Hudson seemed to like them.
I made like 12- 2.5 oz containers with 5 bananas. And if you are keeping track, 2-2.5 oz containers are $1.00 at walmart. I think those bananas were $1.00. So I am saving money.
Now, before you call me a banana hippie, I am just trying this for fun. I'm not about to start making laundry detergent or soap....or wearing hemp. or going to see widespread panic shows. or not showering.
But in preparation for part time (and a part time salary), I could get on board with this.
And pushing that little bullet was actually fun!
Hello, my name is Kristin and that baby bullet was a fun part of my Sunday. My life is really boring exciting!
Expect A LOT of pictures in the next post. I am uploading pictures tonight.
Have a great week!

I am planning on doing the bullet too!! It's healthier and cheaper! Why not?!?! :)
ReplyDeleteI made all of Jones' food! It was fun. People totally made fun of me for doing it! :) BUUUUT I was staying home and was willing to do anything to save a little $$$ to continue to do so! Plus you know for a fact what you are feeding your little one - win/win in my book! Just continue to shower!!
ReplyDeleteI am by no means "hippie" in other departments, but I made most all my baby food too. I just used my regular blender though and ice cube trays to freeze in. I bought green bean baby food because no matter what I tried, my little one wouldn't eat the homemade variety. And other than that, I bought Gerber mangoes ( which mine loved) because they were actually less expensive than making my own.
