fever virus

Fever virus.
What in the heck is a fever virus?
This is my definition: when your baby has high fever and really no other symptoms, and they have not idea what is wrong so they just call it a stupid "fever virus"
Don't you love that medical terminology?

Hudson had that stupid fever virus earlier this week. His temperature only got up to about 101.5, but it is still scary! I took his temp about 245 times in a 3 day period. Sometimes with 2 thermometers. Yeah, I'm that crazy! #pyschonewmothersyndrome

He is doing much better now, but still running low grade temp on and off. Now, if you ask babycenter or your friendly pediatrician, they will tell you that normal range for baby is 97.0-100.4.
But to me, 99.4 or 99.7 is not normal for Hudson Lindley.
He really has been running that low grade temp on and off for 2 weeks now. Bummer!
The only conclusion I can come to is teething. The drool has increased and he has been knawing on his hands recently.

So any experienced mothers, is this normal for teething? To be teething this long without a tooth in site? And to be running low grade temp on and off for long periods of time?
What are your favorite teething remedies?

For your viewing pleasure, this is my sick child

  1. My daughter ran a low grade fever with teething and would even have a clear runny nose. There are "teething tablets" that you can buy that just dissolve in their mouth that work really good and she liked chewing on frozen waffles for some reason they felt good on her gums... Good Luck!
