Dear Daddy,

You had a birthday on October 23...you turned 29. Wow! I know I am so late, but I had to write you this letter...you deserve it!

Happy birthday to you!

What a big year 28 was for you! And your 29th year can only get better. At the end of your 28th year, you had a son. A beautiful baby boy who looks just like you. Literally just like you!

Now in the first month of your 29th year, I have watched you turn into a wonderful daddy. From the first moments that Hudson was born, you jumped right in. 

I can tell by the way you look at him that you are just as smitten as me. We created that life.

Still blows my mind!

I literally knew I loved you the first month we started dating. Ask my friends, they thought it was funny!

And now we have been married for 3.5 years and have a wonderful and fussy son. Ha!

Thank you for being so wonderful to me for 6 years. You totally balance me out. I hate this cheesy saying, but you really are "the yin to my yang"- did I spell that right?

Thank you for giving me our son and for being such an involved dad. You change diapers, get tee'd tee'd on, attempt to dress Hudson, rock him to sleep, and relieve me when I'm at my whits end.

I am so thankful to share this life with you.

So to you, husband and daddy, we love you so much! Happy 29th birthday!

If Hudson grows up to be just like you, I will be a happy camper.

Except he won't go to Cancun on his senior trip...he won't be like you in that aspect. Ha!
