Cabin fever

What we do on a cold, nasty day. This child is currently the definition of cabin fever

Practice our hand stands

Pull out the TP

And this baby loves to drink out of my cup. I've been trying to cut down on my caffeine lately, so its been a staple around here.
He will literally scream bloody murder when he sees this thing.

And then he holds it in his mouth.

I plan on venturing out to storytime and the grocery store tom....even if its freezing.

Ending boring post now.

Play dates

Yah for having a working iPhone camera! I know it sounds silly, but I use that little thing daily.

Look at that big boy haircut. Daddy met us at the hair place to make sure I cut more than 0.0005 inches off.

We've had some fun play dates lately!
First, last Saturday, me and Hudson made the trip to greenwood to see our favorite Fairs! Sloane and I went to PT school together and started having babies around the same time. I'm so glad that we have stayed close even though we don't live too close.

Hudson and Ryals had so much fun playing together...when they weren't trying to take eachother's toys.

Yesterday, we went to visit sweet Kate and baby Owen. These babies are 10 days apart. I love to chit chat with Kelli while the babies were playing.

Both of these sweet friends have younger babies with their first child around Hudson's age. They
are both handling it so well!! I think I will be a train wreck when we decide to have part deux. #wishiwaslaidback

Lastly, this boy loves his pap. And I'm thinking we are doing operation take it away at 18 months. It already makes me nervous.

Just got finished watching Grey's. Yeah, I got sucked back in.

my funny valentine

So, my phone camera is currently out of order and I don't know what to do with myself.
Hudson is feeling very picture neglected and I am feeling very not into writing on the ole blog.

But I did snap a few with Hudson's valentine balloon

He is still in pursuit of that balloon.
He gets a hold of it, and then lets it go. Rinse and repeat.

He also ate his first chocolate chip cookie. And make that 4 cookies.
These were a strawberry cake mix cookie from pinterest.

Obviously he was a fan of the recipe!

And a self portrait of me and my little man. There were others, but I just looked like absolute death.
I bet Joey was lucky to have me as his Valentine that day- insert big sarcasm.
I didn't get a picture with my real Valentine, sweet Josie. You know that boy practically runs from the camera.

And Hudson loves to kiss the baby in the big mirror. Ha!

I really don't get into Valentine's day. Its kinda stupid to me. But we did go out to Mexican on Friday night. We do it BIG here, people!

That's all I got for now. I think I'm in a blog funk.
Holla!

Hudson-16 months

Its about that time....for another Hudson Lindley update!
He turned 16 months on January 29th.
We are really loving this age. He never stops, but he is so much fun!
I keep waiting to dread a stage, but each one gets funner and funner (is funner a word??)

Things about 16 month old Hudson:
-Weighing 23.5 lbs (30%) and 32 in long (70%). That boy might just be tall and skinny like his Bubba
-Still wearing size 4 diapers
-Wearing 18 month clothing now and it fits pretty good. Still alittle long, but the actual sizing is good. I've been buying lots of bubbles new clothes for spring 24 months.
-Taking one nap a day now. Most times in the afternoon for 1.5 hours. If we get 2 hours, that is a GREAT day and today was one of those days! Sleeping 12 hours at night. I usually put him down at 7 and he will wake up about 7:15-ish. He plays in his bed for atleast 15 mins before I go get him.
Sometimes, he is yelling at me by the time I go in there. "Maaaaaah Maaaaaah"
-He's done this for awhile, but when he's really ready to get up from nap or big sleep, he will throw is pap across the room. That's how I know he is really done sleeping.
-We still use the angel monitor with him, and the last few nights, its been going off. I'll run in his room and his squished in the corner where the alarm can't get to him.
-Eating has become kinda tricky these last few months. He is so bipolar when it comes to food. The first time he has something (or its been awhile since he's had it), I have to put in on his tray for him to try it with his hands. Even if  he knows its something he will like. He's so silly!
-He has been in this hitting phase. If he gets a response he doesn't like or doesn't get his way, he will swat at me. We have been working on this, but with little improvement. I'm really hoping its just a phase
-Loves his "Guhh Guhh" so much. Calls every dog "Guhh Guhh" But Guss just doesn't love him back. He will go up to any dog these days. Not sure if that's good or bad.
-Still loves trucks, cars, wagons and anything that he can push
-Running at full speeds these days, but still really clumsy. He falls a lot. It kind of concerned me, and I mentioned it to his doctor. He assured me that was perfectly normal.
-In addition to the words I mentioned in the previous post, he now says:  PaPa (my dad), baaabeee (baby), biiiiie (bite), heyyyyy, a version of truck. Last night, my brother walked through the door and he said "Buba" Sweet boy! And I was taking the pictures below, and I said "Say cheese" and he said "cheeeeeeee"
-I was changing him the other day, and started singing the itsy bitsy spider and he pointed his finger into his hand. (like the hand motions with the song). He will now do this when you ask him to.
-He loves to kiss "the baby" in the big mirror in our room
-Loves to grab the remote controls in our bedroom and run around with them. When I ask him to put them back, he does.
-Loves to stack things. Every time we go to Kiki and Papa Frank's house, he opens the same medicine cabinet and takes out the same things. Don't judge, he plays with bandaid boxes and a still wrapped up bottle of pepto.

-He can get on and off of his rocking horse by himself. But sometimes, it tips over on him. Talk about scary.
-His favorite songs are Wheels on the Bus, Ride the Little Horsey and Itsy Bitsy Spider
-Joey said he climbed on the couch by himself. He doesn't understand that he can fall off
-Still cares NOTHING for TV
-Is already in need of another haircut
-Has the sweetest and biggest smile and gives the best kisses.

We just love that baby boy so much!!!
And even though I spend most days with him, I miss him when I'm gone. On that one day I work, I think about him constantly! Silly, I know. But I know these days with him wanting to be with me are just so numbered.
We are currently touring schools for the fall. I want him to go somewhere 2 days a week (half days)  to have that socialization and to get some "learning"

We had a small photoshoot yesterday.

"Cheeeee"

Happy Weekend!

to bubble or not to bubble

To bubble or not to bubble....that is the question.
Ya'll know I can't go too long without talking/looking for sweet smocked outfits.
And with spring coming soon, I've been trying to get Hudson's spring wardrobe ready.
And when its time to wear new clothes, he'll be 18 months old.
So the big question is... Is Hudson too old for a bubble?
I already have probably 6 spring/summer bubbles that I know he will wear (bc they are too cute)
But should I just quit buying those and stick with the short-alls?
I am really on the fence about this

I found the most recent pictures of bubble Hudson

And they were cute on 12 month old Hudson

I already get my fair share of comments on his wardrobe: "Put some boy clothes on him"
"He doesn't wear jeans?" "She's so pretty" BLAH BLAH BLAH
They don't bother me anymore, but we are getting kinda close to that 24 month line.
The 24 month line is defined as the time where those sweet baby boy clothes are borderline inappropriate on your recently turned big boy.

So am I getting too close to the 24 month line? Please boy moms (or any moms) please speak up!

And sorry for this completely random post
