Beach trip 2014

Last week was our annual Zito-Lindley beach trip to Orange Beach.
We always go before Memorial Day but after the hangout fest. Such a great time to go because the weather is great, but its not that crowded. This year, the weather was AMAZING the entire trip. The water was warmer than usual and our days were filled with cloudless skies!

Joey found out 3-4 days before we were leaving that he couldnt come until Monday, so we made the trip down with Bubba. Instant birthcontrol for him!
But we made it and spent our first day on the beach sans daddy and all hands on deck with crazy Hudson.

I was also really worried about our littles sleeping on this trip. Hudson is a good sleeper for the most part...in his bed. And angel baby is so laid back, except when it comes to sleep. So expectations were low. Well, they did so great! We stuck Lillian in an extra-large, dark closet and she was good to go! Hudson slept in the big bed with us and in his small bed that we rented. We had a three bedroom condo at the Phoenix West and my parents let us have the big daddy master.

I had a big list of things to do with the babies while we went down there, but we spent most of our time at the beach and the pool. Oh yeah, and eating!

We set the tailgate tent up and baby pool for Lillian and she was happy as a clam. Hudson was just all over the place. He didn't sit still for 5 minutes. My dreams of cute beach pictures were shattered. I promise there were matching swim suits and smocked outfits galore! Ha!

Lillian's posting spot. Although she really liked to be held most of the time

Papa and Hudson had a grand time!

I loved watching Hudson playing in the water! That smile is so great!

Sweet Sissy!

My failed sibling beach photos

This sissy, she loooooved the water. She would giggle and kick when we got in the pool. She also loved being in the lazy river with me. I'd get in the tube and she would sit in my lap. Such a mommy's girl.

Modeling her Beaufort Bonnet

Again, matching swimmies were not fully taken advantage of.

She would cat nap on the beach in the mornings, and take her big nap in the afternoon in the pack in play. She sleeps with an ocean noise machine, so the real life thing was very relaxing to her.

I love these sweet babies so much!!!

Our last night at The Gulf. Such a fun place! Not sure why I haven't been there before!
Papa was not there bc he had to leave a day early for work stuff.

Basically, we were beach bums all week. We'd spend 3-4 hours out there in the am. Break for lunch and naps and then head back out to the beach/pool until it was time to get ready for dinner. Hudson was obsessed with the slide, so we spent the last 30-45 minutes of each beach session going down the slide.
We ate at all of our favorites: Cobalt, The Gulf, Shrimp Basket, Tacky Jacks.... Definitely got our seafood fix!

Up next is the Beach trip- Iphone version
