beach 2012

We had a great time at the beach with my family!!
Hudson Lindley loves the water...so that part was easy.
The only part that wasn't easy was his sleep. He didn't sleep at all at night...but that did spoil our time!

A few things I want you to notice while you look:
1. My child's open mouth smile in almost every picture. I.LOVE.IT!
2. My child's smocked outfits. I think I am the only one that appreciates them!
3. My lack of tan-ness. It's hard to get a decent tan at the beach with a 7 month old.
4. My cute brother. He's single and I'm determined to marry him off.

He's cool in his shades

My two loves.
Daddy and his mini me.

My cute, single brother.

Kiki and Papa Frank

Hudson with his Bubba

And you know we had to have family portrait beach sessions...
Joey wasn't too happy about this but he was a good sport!

The all white pictures are next. You just got to do it!

And a few things I've learned after the beach trip with a 7 month old:
1. The baby pool is a MUST! Hudson loved it!
2. Baby lotion sunscreen works is so much easier than baby spray sunscreen
3. A baby hat (with velcro chin strap) and sunglasses are very valuable
4. A tailgate tent is also very valuable...and someone to put it up at 7am also helps!
(Thanks Josie and Brett)
5. Bringing the big daddy camera to the beach is good for pictures, but use something better than a walgreen bag to protect it
6. You definitely need the little swimmers for the water. But they are the pull-up kind and they are a bitch to get off when they are wet and poop filled
7. The waves sound can be very relaxing to a 7 month old...and napping on the beach is possible
8. When going to Orange Beach, always eat at Cobalt (or 2-3 times in our case)
9. When going to the outlet mall, always leave your child with daddy

We had an absolute blast and can't wait to go back next year!!
If a 7 month old was fun, just think what an 18 month old will be like...

  1. Just thought I would share in case you didn't know because I didn't know either at first. Those swim diapers are meant to be torn off from the side not pulled back down off the legs. That is why the material is different. Tearing them off has helped me a lot. Maybe it is still a pain in the behind but thought I would at least share the knowledge.
