Rundown

Hey there! Happy Friday! I feel like I have been using this blog lately to give my option about certain things and not so much about what has been going on in the Lindley household (like you even care anyways!).
So here is a rundown about what has been happening:

Acouple of weeks ago, the lovely Phi Mu ladies went to dinner for Lexie's (and Lindsey's) birthday.
As most of you know, I REALLY love these ladies
(and this was the night of the tornados in gluckstadt...and we endured the storm and made it to pf changs)

We also have had the opportunity to attend two parties for my best friend Lizzy. We hosted a bridal shower for her at Mint in Ridgeland and also her and Woody had an engagement party in Flowood. It was so fun to see everyone. No pictures of these events because I have not loaded my pictures on the computer. My bad!

Next, Taste of UMC. This is the one of the hospital's fundraisers. So much fun! Each department comes up with a theme and 250 "tastes" to go with the theme. This year we were "Achilles and the Rehab Goddesses" Again, so much fun!

Most of our rehab team...aren't we cute in our togas?

And you know I had to add alittle pink to my wardrobe
So we didn't win, but we got alot of compliments on our booth and it was just a blast to see what other teams had. One team's theme was the "Swine Flu" and they had bacon flavored vodka shots in syringes....really funny. And yes, you heard it right, bacon flavored vodka.

In our Phi Mu group of friends, we have recently decided to start a themed supper club. Each month a different friend hosts the event at their house with the theme of their choice. Last night, Jennifer picked "Fiesta" and it was so much fun. No pictures of this either...but you know what those cute phi mu's look it (see above picture).

Next, upcoming events:
Saturday night: Lexie, Kelly and I are having an Office party. We are each bringing 2 of our favorite episodes and making a night of it with dinner (and possible some sweets). Sweet Josie is going to Mccomb so this is the perfect opportunity for some good girl time.

And on Monday night: Tara, Johna, Carly, and myself will be attending Easely Amused. We are painting "Poppy Don't Preach"
This is what is suppose to look like, and we will see what mine actually looks like on Monday night.

Lastly, I just wanted to add that I have been going to the gym lately (like for the last month). The courthouse near my house started offering classes...and I love a class. I got so burned out on the treadmill, and these classes are fun and great cardio. My workout rundown:
Monday: bootcamp, Tuesday: body pump, Wednesday: spin and bootcamp, Thursday: body pump/abs/turbo kick
We shall see how long this lasts! I have atleast 2 beach trips planned this summer and this chubby (and pale) girl needs to get thin. And I just generally feel better about myself when I exercise.

That is all for now. Hope ya'll have a great weekend!

PS, congrats Brooke for getting engaged this past weekend! So excited for you! (and I know you stalk my blog, so I thought I'd give you a shout-out)

He is NOT a wonderland

Ok, John Mayer. What happened to you? You used to be so cute when you first came out. "Your body is a wonderland", "Neon", and "Why georgia" were his first good songs from his album Room for Squares.

Look at that face. He was so young and innocent. Sooo not arrogant. Anyways, I just read an article he did with a magazine and he has got some nerve! He was calling out all these celebrities he used to date. And not speaking very nice about them. Come on John Mayer, don't kiss and tell! I was going to quote him from the article, but it is not in blog-friendly language. He has turned into that typical celebrity that thinks they are too cool for school. Well your gig is up, John Mayer. We have figured you out.

On a lighter note, here are my little children.

(On a side note, Guss does not have a lazy eye. He kind of looks like he does in the picture above)

Bath time.

Isn't this the cutest thing you've ever seen? This is our nephew, Reeves. Love him.
Looking at this just brightens my day.
Happy Tuesday!

another break up

Ok, so here we are again. Another break up. But this is actually a healthy one. I am thinking of breaking up with the tanning bed. I know, I know, they are AWFUL for you. But when you are chubby like me, tan chubby is better than pale chubby. And that is seriously the truth. I have been tanning for years...not all the time, but enough to start to worry about it. And at the ripe, old age of 26 (27 this year), I am worried about looking like leather. That's right...
This face
does not want to turn into...

THAT.
A leather handbag.

So this girl is taking a break from tanning. Now let me clarify, this is not a break up from ALL sun. This is just from the tanning bed. I will still be dating the actual sun in the summertime. Baby steps people! And Joey has been gracious enough to even allow me to spray tan on a regular basis. I am not sure how I feel about the spray tan, but something's gotta give and this girl can NOT be white. (see above, chubby pale is not a good look for me). So anyone have any suggestions about spray tan? or any self tan products I can purchase? If not, next time you see me, I will be the orange girl with the dirty Mystic tan hands. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about if you have spray tanned before.

Speaking of leather handbag, I have made a recent purchase. This purchase is a timeless piece that can be used forever and then I can pass it down to my child. That's right, I have invested in a Louis Vuitton handbag. It's actually the beauty in the above picture. Her full name is Louis Vuitton Monogram Speedy 35. Isn't she lovely? I have been wanting one of these for awhile, and we don't have children right now, so we can splurge on over-the-top purchases? right? (crickets). And I have a secret. I not only purchased one LV, but I purchased TWO LVs. Really? Yes I did! I could not decide about the size, so I ordered both of them with full intentions of returning one. Why would I want two handbags that look so much alike? She arrives today and I am so so excited!!!! And just alittle shout-out to Joey for letting me make this purchase...he feeds my addiction for all things fashion. And I love him dearly for it!

Have a great week!
