October catchup!

October has been a fun (and busy) month for us! Between the big birthday party, MSU football, and Halloween festivities... I'm pooped! But we've had a lot of fun!
We've started going to chick fila on Thursday mornings to let Sissy play. She goes to school on MWF, so on her off days, I try to do fun things with her. And 9:00 am is a great time at CFA and they mostly have the play place to themselves.

Lillian and Walt are true BFFs!

We had one random day where it was total big coat weather!

Y'all, this is a snake. In my house. Beat to death with a shovel by me. This is not a drill. I had just dropped the kids off at school and had put Barnes down for nap. And walked back to the bedroom to get the monitor. I saw him in the door way and immediately freaked the F out. Of course, Joey was out of town but I called him hysterical and he said to grab the shove. So I killed him real good, all the while on speaker phone with Joey. He said it was quite hilarious, but it was the real deal. That thing had its mouth open ready to bite me! I then made my dad come and get him. I also called the bug man, bc I needed to know if they travelled in packs.... Turns out they don't. Thank goodness!

Painting pumpkins with the littles!

Lillian "rough hugger" Lindley strikes again!

We also hit up the fair! We went on $2.00 ticket day in the afternoon and it was a great time!

I even got to ride a few rides!

Sweet Barnes' first time in the big boy cart.

We had our annual phi mu tailgate at MSU vs Troy game. We made the decision to leave Sissy at home. That girl be crazy and she loves to run away from us. Not a good combo with all those people. The Deans rode with us... Huge mini van comes in on clutch!

Cooper and Barnes will have this picture frames in their dorm room.
Sweet mommy best friends and sweet baby best friends!

Look at all these phi my bulldog babies!

So thankful for Jamie!

Hudson had so much fun people watching, eating tailgate food and playing football with the big kids!
Barnes had so much fun being held and napping on mommy!

I LOVE all these ladies so much! We've been friends for 13 years and still going strong. We also have a fair hope trip planned in January.

Love my boys!

Oldies.

Lillian's first time out in the corner. I don't remember what she did, but I assure you it involved the word NO and some sass.

Meanwhile, this angel boy is just happy in life. As long as he can see you. Or he's being held.

Barnes's first time in the big bath tub with the big kids. They all loved him in there.

1980's bath ring for the win!

This child....

CFA Thursdays with Walt and McCall.

So we took family Christmas card photos one afternoon. Sissy just wasn't cooperating and didn't want to be sweet to Barnes. But we get home and naked, and she's all about it. I am happy to report that we did get a good family shot. One of out a million taken.

Chubby still loves a sink bath though!

After a big rain, we noticed a turtle moving very swiftly in the backyard.... I think it was lost. But the kids loved him.

Lillian is TWO

Sissy Lindley is TWO years old!!! (As of October 16th)
This sweet angel woke her birthday morning and said "Hey mommy. Eat breakfast?" And then I died because she is no longer a baby.
This child doesn't want for much. Give her any of her brother's dinosaurs (that she loves to say are "mine"), the movies Rio, Ice Age or Finding Nemo, her stuffed animals (puppies and rabbits are her favorites), and her baby dolls. And she's a happy camper. She loves to yell snaaack, run to the panty for Cheerios or goldfish and a bowl and throw them all at you. She's quite impatient. And she has started using the word NO very liberally. It gets on my nerves, but she says it so cute. She's known as a "rough hugger" and adores her brothers. And she can tackle Hudson down to the ground in 2.5 seconds. She surprises me daily with her vocabulary and can stack a block something serious. Sometimes she hugs my neck so tight and closes her eyes. And then I melt. She is the sweetest and sassiest thing and I am totally obsessed with her!

Birthday donut cake.

She's become quite impatient with the camera, but I snuck in a few.

We took cupcakes for her class on her birthday. She loved wearing the crown! Already assuming her role as Queen Bey of the Lindley house!

Give the girl some cake and she's happy!

Sweetest little class!

Lottie Da's made the cutest bow for her birthday. Every birthday princess needs a birthday bow!

We celebrated Lillian turning two (and Hudson turning four) with a joint birthday party on October 18th. (Next update)

Sissy girl Lindley, you are my angel baby turned sassy pants and I love you to the moon and back! Thank you for always bringing the sass and keeping me laughing. All the while wearing a pink smocked dress and a big bow in your hair!

End of summer beach trip

At the end of September, we packed up our house and headed to Orange Beach for a much needed beach trip. We usually go with my parents in May, but for some reason they didn't want to go with baby Barnes being 8 weeks old. So I pouted about it all summer.... And we decided to take our own trip.
I already feel like an adult, you know with having to be responsible for all the babies, but now we feel extra adult-y because we paid for our own condo for the week. And I'm not talking about Motel 6 by the Sea.... Ha! This was a first for us. We decided to try out the new Phoenix West II. It was so nice! We even talked my brother and his gf, Meredith, into coming down for a few days.
Anyways, we talked the beach trip up aallll summer, so Hudson was super excited!
The mini was loaded down. We literally have ever stage of young child right now: infant, toddler, and pre-kindergartener (don't be jelly), so you can only imagine all the crap that we had to take.

We were extremely worried about the drive down. But the kids were on their best behavior and they did GREAT! We stopped once to nurse Barnes/Hudson potty and once to eat lunch.
This is how B wanted to sleep on the way down.

Once we got there, we got all the stuff in and headed straight down to the beach! The big kids were in heaven!

We also hit up the pool. We initially wanted to stay at the new PW II for the "splash pad" which ended up being basically one water hose in the ground. I actually liked the pool set up at the PW I better.

Sweet Barnes loved the water! Since 2011, I've been pregnant or bringing a young infant to the beach. And with Barnes being our last baby, it was kind of bittersweet. But he LOVED the water and kicking his chubby legs in it.

Brett and Mere got to the condo later that night. We literally spent the next 4 days with them on the beach or at the pool. Bless them, they were so patient with our children!
And if I wasn't being Barnes' pillow while on the beach, I was being the paparazzi for the kiddies.

Love this picture of my sweet kiddos

And I am OBSESSED with this one. It will be framed big in my house very soon!

Hudson's favorite things to do were looking for seashells, digging holes in the sand, and playing in the waves. Luckily, he would stay pretty close to us.

Sissy would dart off every chance she got! And she loved playing in the water! Barnes' favorite thing was to fall asleep on the beach. Every.single.time

Daddy digging holes.

This about sums it up.

But I do love this picture that Meredith got! Love my sweet family!

Straight up selfie style with Brett and Mere. Seriously could not have survived the trip without them. Our children outnumber us.

So the last two days after they left were spent trying to wrangle the babies and spend as much time on the beach as possible.

We celebrated their birthdays (which were 2 weeks later) with the nastiest cake that publix had.

Looking for crabs.
This was my favorite time to be down at the beach. The late afternoon was still warm and sunny and it was less crowded. Listening to the waves crash is just so relaxing to me!
The big kids LOVED our time at the beach! Although the night time sleep wasn't that great (I'm looking at you Barnes), all the babies did great! It gives me hope for future trips! And we will definitely be going back at the end of the summer next year!

Barnes at SEVEN months

Sweet angel, baby boy Barnes. You are SEVEN months old (on the 18th)!
I am loving each month with you and your sweet, little personality. Even though you can make my back hurt, I will carry you around on my hip as long as you want me to.

Things about Barnes at SEVEN months:
- Still going strong with nursing. Getting more squirmy these days, but he's still loving it, I guess. Nursing at 8:00, 11;30, 2:30, 5:30 and 7:15 pm. He will sleep until around the 5:00 am hour, sometimes 5:45 sometimes 6:30, nurse, and go back to sleep until 8:00 am. The boy could go 12 hours without nursing at night...clearly he's got the weight, but he just won't. He's actually been doing alot better lately, so i'm trying not to complain. Eating solids at lunch and dinner. I've made: butternut squash, sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, apples, peaches, pears, and just bought some plums to make. I really do enjoy making his food.
- Chunky is weighing in around 20 lbs. At his checkup on 09/28, he was 19 lbs 1 oz (80%) and in the 96% for height.
- Sleeping is better.  Going down around 7:30 pm and waking around 5-6 am to nursing and going back down until 8:00 am. Napping at 10;00 and 1:00 with a small catnap at 4:00
- Straight up in 12 month clothing now. He can fit into a few 9 month things, but he pops out of them at the stride.
- Loves: sitting up and playing with his toys, being held (all day, errryday), eating, rolling around all over the floor, watching his brother and sister play, being tickled, smiling, kicking his little legs, bathtime,  kisses from his mommy. His new favorite thing is to watch the dogs.
- He has absolutely no interest in crawling or getting up on all fours to rock. And i am totally ok with that!
- He is so content just sitting around and playing with his mommy (or anyone who will play with him). As long as someone is close to him, he loves his life!
- He's starting to get some blonde hair on that sweet little head!

I am literally OBSESSED with this child!
