chubby

This is my precious pup Guss. He is so so sweet. Look at that face!

This is Guss post haircut. Still just as cute. And much cleaner.

But, Guss has a problem. He is obese. We went to the vet the other day for his yearly check-up and the vet was slightly concerned about his weight. He is 2 lbs overweight. OVERWEIGHT I say!!! My child! I was horrified. So we are trying to cut down on the treats around the Lindley househould (apparently those are high in calories). Despite his handicap, I still love him dearly. Obsessed might be the better word.

Have a great week. And don't over-feed your dog. And watch The Office.
That is all.

Beets. Bears. Battlestar Gallatica.

I am in a funk. An Office funk. So Idol started a few weeks ago and I just can't get into it. Why is this? I am usually all over some idol?? Maybe they have too many audition episodes? I mean, enough is definately enough with all those crazies! Exhibit A: On Tuesday, I decided to watch old episodes of The Office on TBS instead of Idol. Exhibit B: I didn't watch Idol last night, just because. I watched The Office on DVD. Weird.

And I watched Obama's State of the Union Address. Can I just mention that it really bothered me that after every sentence that man made, one half of the room stood up and applauded. Every sentence. Small business bailouts. Applause. Money for college. Applause. Blame Bush. Applause...see a trend? Don't get me wrong, I am all about money for colleges and I support small businesses...but some of the stuff he said just got to me...and not in a moving, stand up and applause kind of way. The Lindleys are republicans. Enough said.

And CougarTown was not on last night. Sadness. I feel like I don't watch many shows on the ABC/NBC/CBS channels...The Office, CougarTown, Idol (slacking lately)...is that it? I recently broke up the Grey's Anatomy. Am I missing that amazing show that everyone is watching? I get into the Real Housewives of Atlanta/New York/Orange County/Jersey, Jeff Lewis, and all those BRAVO shows and that's about it. Lately (since November), we have just been watching The Office on DVD. Every night. Boring I know, but it is so so funny! Which brings me back to the whole reason for this post...Is The Office enough to keep me entertained? I think so!

Have a great rest of the week. Last weekend of hunting season....get excited! VERY EXCITED!

Sunday movie pallet day

This is our Sunday tradition. Sunday movie pallet day. It all started when we got married and we used to spend the whole day (Sunday) on the floor in our living room...and you guessed it, watching movies. See we had carpet in our old house, so we brought the feather bed in there with lots of covers and snuggled all day. Most of my friends know that this day is very important to us (well, me atleast). But now, we have hardwood floors in our great room, so we have moved to the couch. Yesterday, our movie day started out with Joey going to play 'call of duty' with Zach. (And this is why I refuse to get a PS3 in my house...but that is a whole different post). So I was the main participant with our festivities yesterday and Joey made his appearances here and there. Here is our Sunday list of movies:

1. The Hangover
Maybe the funniest movie ever, and makes me laugh everytime. Since we started watching The Office, we like it even more
2. My Big Fat Greek Wedding
I love this movie! and it always makes me cry...actually I cried ALOT yesterday
3. Practical Magic
Again, love this movie. ABC family was on a role yesterday. So I started this movie in the living room, and I turned around and Joey was no where to be found...He hates this movie and was determined not to watch it. So I watched the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes. Still was great!
4. 500 Days of Summer (via Netflicks)
Joey was not happy about this either, but it was better than Practical Magic in his book. Can I say, that I LOVED this movie. I always love indie films, and this was a great one. Joseph Gordon -Levitt did a great job and Zooey Deschanel was as quirckie as ever! Definately recommend it!
5. The Notebook
This movie was a solo operation. The Saints were on, but I couldn't resist this movie (and I watched some of the game on commercials). Why do I do this to myself? Everytime I watch it, I turn into a blubbering mess. Literally. Uncontrollable. Weeping. But I love it. Such a sweet story. Breaks my heart everytime!!
6. Forrest Gump
A classic. Another Blubbering mess. You'd think I'd be out of tears at this point, but nope, I had plenty to spare for this movie.

So this was our day. Me crying, Joey sleeping to avoid the massive amount of chick flicks, and the Saints winning.

For the record, I don't normally love the chick flicks (and especially not multiple ones in a row), but the stars aligned yesterday and they was the perfect Sunday! Thanks ABC family and Netflicks! (and Joey!)

I have given all I have to give

Dear Grey's Anatomy,
I think we have to break up. We have been in an intense love affair for the last 4 years, but I think it is now time to part ways. I have been a fair- weather fan the last couple of weeks, so I really don't know whats going on. But I saw a preview for you about a Grey's/Private Practice crossover episode that airs tomorrow night and I got a sick feeling in my stomach. We have just been through so much here lately: with Izzy leaving, the orange scrub people coming in, the chief acting all crazy, and Meredith/Sheppard's post-it marriage...enough has to be enough. And now you tell me that the pixie looking girl might be a full time person and Christina and that army guy are breaking up and little grey and Mcsteamy are done? I can't take it! I think we have to break up. Too much emotion for one relationship. I'm sorry, but its over. And I would not like to remain friends at this point...maybe next season when I have had time to chill out.
Thanks,
Kristin Lindley

Yeh Josie!!

This is my husband. Hahaha! Not really, but he did kill an 8 point on Saturday. Yeh for deer meat!!! I like to cook with deer meat because it is suppose to be leaner, and since I am chubby, I need all the "leaner" I can get. So congrats Joey, 50 lbs of deer meat will do our new deep freezer good!

And the boys at Joey's office have found out about this blog. My question is how did this happen? I was under the assumption that only females read this thing. Well they have been teasing him about it. Is this blog embarrassing to my husband? I think not!!! (Atleast I keep telling myself this)

Happy Monday!
