Hudson Lindley is FOUR

My first born, Hudson Lindley, turned FOUR years old yesterday!
Insert sad tears
This sweet boy knew his birthday was in September and has been talking about it the whole month. He knew we went to the beach for his birthday, but was also very excited about opening presents and eating birthday cake. That child lives for birthday cake.
I've decided to do a joint party for Hudson and Lillian in mid-October, so yesterday was all about celebrating Hudson with family and at his school.

He woke up to a donut hole cake and blue balloons everywhere!
He made me re-light the candle 3 times, so he could blow it out!
Please look at that smile!
When I got to his school for cupcakes, he was so excited to see us! We got to sing happy birthday again and he got to wear the birthday crown.
And Sissy just made herself at home...that girl has no shame!

I got to read a book to the class, which for some reason made me slightly nervous!
Love my boys!

When I was setting up the plates and cupcakes, I put Barnes on the rug, Well, of course all the kiddos swarmed him, and protective and proud Hudson went into full effect. He was telling them to back up and "Thats my baby brother Barnes"  Its sweet to see that protective side of him

And I ordered Hudson a cake from Kroger. She said it fed 10-12 people, which would have been perfect for us. Well, I picked it up and it was a total mini-cake. Hudson could eat that whole thing himself. So I had to get a back up cake since my parents and brother were coming over to open presents and eat pizza.
We gave him several books he wanted, a race car mat with cars, some camo pants and boots (for the deercamp), some tennis shoes and an Imaginext Rescue City thing.
But Hudson's favorite present- The CAT train set that Bubba gave him. This thing is so cool! He loved it so much, he was convinced that the whole train set should sleep in the bed with him. And if Lillian got anywhere near the thing, he started screaming at the top of his lungs. Ha!

All day long, he kept saying "Its my birthday and I'm going to get a surprise!"
I tried to make his day so so special, because my mom always made us feel so special and made the day ALL about us. And I still feel that way about my birthday.... And I want that for all my children!

Hudson Lindley, you are the first tiny love of my life. I love your brain and watching you grow and learn. I love that you love your daddy so much, but you still want mommy to love on  you. I love that you love your brother and sister so much! I love you with my whole heart and I hope you had the most special day! You are my favorite FOUR year old!
