Lillian Lindley is TWO months!
Time really does fly when you are going crazy with two kids having fun!
Last time I updated on Lillian, she was 4 weeks old and the angel baby. Yes, she still is the angel baby, but we've come full circle. You see, around 4-5 weeks (Thanksgiving time) Lillian got extremely fussy and wouldn't nap to save her life. She would be in the deepest sleep and then 5 minutes later, pop those eyes wide open. You could tell she was in pain. To say I was frazzled is an understatement. I had several meltdowns.
We did a lot of google searching and self diagnosed her with silent reflux. She doesn't really spit up, but you could literally hear it coming up her throat. So off to the doctor we went. We started on zantac, which worked for about 2 days. But the $60 prescription of prevacid has really done the trick. We also use gripe water if she's seems really fussy or has extreme hiccups.
Prevacid + gripe water + swaddle for naps = happier baby (and mommy)
Lillian Lindley at TWO MONTHS:
- Nursing every 3-3.5 hours during the day. I try to stick to 3 hours, but if she's napping we extend it. She is still super fast and efficient. She's done in less than 10 minutes.
-She had her first bottle December 8th. Yes, I was kind of behind on the game with that. She took about 2.5 oz of the 4 in the bottle. For a first timer, I was ok with that. We've had 2-3 since then. I really plan on starting it every day. Especially to make Meka's life easier when she watches them.
- Sleeping between 5-6 hours at night. Sister has a habitual waking pattern at 1:30 am. She will be super asleep and at 1:30, she will open up. Its like clockwork. I usually do the paci thing until around 3:00 or maybe longer. Sometimes I don't feed her until 4:30. She usually wakes again around 7:30-8:00. The last few nights have been better bc she's waited until 2-2:15 to wake up. The good thing about this sweetie is she will go straight back down. Hudson used to scream for atleast an hour after night feedings.
- She takes pretty much all her naps in her crib and swaddled. Except when we are out and about. She also catnaps from 7-8 in her swing. That's her winding down time.
- We've been doing bath around 8 and feeding her at 8:30 and in crib by 9:00 at night. Since we started this routine, things have gotten way better. I don't remember putting Hudson down that early, but its working for her. She doesn't respond well to the dreamfeed, it wakes her up too much.
- We just made the switch to size one diapers. For some reason, I was sad about this. But 8 sweet weeks in newborns was enough.
-Still wearing a lot of her newborn gowns, but have moved to some of her 0-3 month clothing. And newborn/3 month sleepers at night. Although the newborn sleepers are getting pretty short on my long and lean girl.
- Still has the dark hair. A good bit of hit fell out on the top, but its growing back now...Hudson is my cotton top and Lillian will be my brunette beauty.
- Smiling up a storm. Her favorite time to smile is after a feeding when she is sitting up. She loves to hear her name. And I must brag that she smiles the most when I talk to her. Which, in turn, makes me smile.
- Also becoming more vocal. She coos and talks to me a lot these days.
- Her waketime activities include: sitting in bouncy seat, laying under the activity mat, and watching brotherbear be crazytown. She usually can make it about one hour of being awake before she really starts to fuss.
-Doesn't care for tummy time. I don't push it too much because she screams.
- Loves to be held! She just started letting us put her in the swing. With Hudson, he loved that thing from day one.
- Is such a sweet soul. She really only cries when she is hungry or tired. Yes, we have our bad days, but overall the good ones really outnumber the bad ones.
- Loves her mommy. I guess since I'm with her day and night, she doesn't have a choice right now.
I know that will change in 16 years.
- Loves pink! Ha! Maybe its me that loves her in pink. Her colors are definitely blush and bashful.
Here's my sweetie
Sissy doesn't look like she's missing a meal with those cheeks
Love this angel so so much. She is just the perfect fit for our family.
Life is definitely more fast paced and crazy with two, but I'm really trying to enjoy this time with both babies.
Happy two months to the sweetest angel baby girl, our Lillian!

I need to see photos of her nursery!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove reading about miss Lillian and her colors are blush and bashful for sure! I'm a "Pink silk bunting draped over anything that sits still" kind of mama too:) Hang in there, it gets easier!
