big week!

Hello there from crazy land! We are currently getting birthday party ready at the Lindleys.
Hopefully it will be great and the rain will hold off. My fabulous photographer friend Jana is taking the party pictures, and I can't wait to see them! (even though the party hasn't even happened yet)

I really don't want to talk about my baby boy turning one because my heart is literally split in two about it.
First, he is now longer considered a baby. That is sad to me. But second, he is so much fun and I could not love him more! So currently I have a half broken, half full heart....still trying to process those emotions.

But this week has been BIG for Hudson!

First, he had 4 top teeth come in! Four at one time. They have been trying to push through for awhile, but they just popped on through this week. So now, he kinda looks likes weird-teeth-scary-baby. The only comparison I can come up with is Slougth from The Goonies. Now, I know my child doesn't look like him, but his teeth were really ganged up. And Hudson's are pushed through enough to be seen, but not enough to be square. Hence, the slougth-ish teeth. Baby-ruth

Next, Hudson got his first haircut on September 25th. I pretty much threatened the lady about just trimming the front and the sides!

Sweet baby before

Frat boy hair in full effect.
But all in his pretty blue eyes.

He was great! All he needed was the comb

And the after shot. Still ready for fraternity row, but he can just see better now.
Its still long in the front and sides, and the swoop is still there!

Last, Hudson Lindley took his FIRST STEPS yesterday!
I am so thankful I was at home and got to witness this big event!
He has been cruising for awhile, but yesterday he decided to let go.
The first couple of times, he just took 2-3 steps, but by the end of the day, he was taking 6-7 consecutive steps! Go Hudson!

I haven't gotten it on video yet, but that is today's plan...along with the other 1287 things I need to do before the party :)

My little turkey while running errands this week! Love him to pieces!

Happy Hudson's birthday weekend!
