It was my mid-late 20's birthday on September 4th. I don't like to get into the specific number, but it might come after 26 and before 28...I'll leave it at that.
Now, I really don't think I act my age...my mid-early 20s age or my new age, for that matter. When I was younger, I just pictured myself more mature at my current age. I knew I would be married to a wonderful man (check), and maybe have a baby...or entertaining the idea of a baby, atleast (1/3 check), and have a great job that I worked 7 years for (double check). But I don't feel like my age...does that make sense? Will this be me when I am 50? Being silly and trying not to say every comment that pops into my head (but with a more mature-like 50 year old way about me)? If so, I think I will be ok with that.
Anyways, back to this current birth.
Not pictured (or was pictured, but it got deleted on this thing), the Lindleys, Adams, and Shandys went to a local restaurant to start the birthday celebrations off. The Patties couldn't come because Tara was not feeling well...turns out, she was in labor. Go figure. Ha!
Next, my sweet Phi Mus went to eat sushi. Always fun times to be had with this crowd, and we may or may not have been really loud from all the laughing.
Up next, our friend Mitch Johnston and his wife Jill were in town for the weekend, and Mitch was playing at Julep. (side note: he also played at our wedding) So, we decided to round the troops to go listen to him play!
Me and Carly Shandy. She's pretty.
(another side note: there were TONS of pictures from this night, but I had to edit and only show 1/4 of them)
The boys: Zach, Tyler, Mitch, and sweet designated driver Joey. Bless him.
Sharing a round of beverages. and water for Joey.
And here come the solo shots. Glamour shots, if you will.
The mid-late 20s birthday girl.
The mid-late 20s birthday girl.
Carly Shandy. This was her "go-to pose" for the night. Love it!
My love. Our DD, Joey Lindley. Can't you see the excitement on his face.
Tyler Shandy. The giver of shots that night.
The talent. Mitch Johnston. He rocked the house.
The sweet wife of The Talent and the always friendly, Jill Johnston.
Isn't she so cute in this picture?
The Obnoxious. Ha! Just kidding. The new dad! Zach Pattie.
And we felt the need to picture the sweet frog at the end of the night.
And the birthday couple. The sober DD, Joey, and his out-of-control, pass out 2 seconds after they get home, loud, and the only one on the dance floor, wife. Me, Kristin Lindley.
My birthday was fabulous, and a big thanks to all that were involved. Next year, I will be turning 25...and will be turning 25 for the next several years. Until I am 25 x 2. (get it, 50?)
And to sweet Joey, thank you for continuing to make my birthday a BIG deal every year. Even though it gets on your nerves. I have big plans for your birthday, bub. Loves you!
Ps, we all got another great birthday gift that weekend...Adda Laine Pattie was born on Labor day. We will forever share a birthday weekend. And this will forever continue to bother Zach Pattie. Ha! Here is a recent picture of the little lovie. And if you could see mama Tara, you would have never guessed she gave birth 2 weeks ago today... she looks AMAZING!
Have a great week!
