Christmas 2011

This Christmas was amazing!
We celebrated our Savior's birth and we celebrated our first Christmas as a family of three!
Joey + Kristin + Angel bones (Hudson) + Jesus = sweet family love

A few weeks ago, I went to see my BFF Jessica and her sweet boy Carson. And of course, we had to snaps some pictures of the future best friends and sports stars.
ps, jess just started a blog...you should check her out here

me and carson shive. he is just too cute!

future BFFs, Hudson and Carson
Hudson just took the opportunity to veg out at their house
and they look like they're holding hands. bless them

Next, one of Hudson's super cute outfits
He's a penguin

And the cutest penguin I know!
I was trying to tell him the sound penguins make, but couldn't come up with anything. So I pretended they made the duck sound.
What do those little birds sound like?

Christmas pjs. These aren't the ones that Santa saw, but still cute

Can't you tell he's so interested in the camera all up in his grill?

On to Christmas Eve, Daddy and his little twin.
These two boys are my whole world!

(that is his favorite nickname)

Nana and Hudson

Jumping back to Christmas Eve...we snuck this picture before church started in the cry room.
His bib says. "My first Christmas"
And yes, we need a bib now. The boy has started to drool

Ok, this was a few days after Christmas but don't tell anyone. I wasn't the best with the camera this year and didn't get one of all three of us on the actual day.
So this was at the country club last week...luckily, they still had some of their decorations up.

My FABULOUS present from my husband. A tennis bracelet. Yeah, he went there!
I about jumped out of my seat when I opened it...talk about shock!
I have seriously considered sportin that thing with my scrubs...don't think I won't!
I got Joey a new GPS that he can use as a phone in his car, clothes and some hunting stuff (can he go ONE holiday without getting hunting stuff?)

Not pictured this Christmas:
Our Christmas Eve traditions at Uncle Jesse's house
The OOC (out of control)-ness that was Santa at Kiki's house. Everyone racked up BIG time there!

maybe next year i'll be better with the camera...
Hudson got lots of clothes, books and toys...and he really only cares about this one snail that lights up when he touches it. The rest will have to wait a month or two before they come out of the box

We really are blessed to have wonderful families that love us and our little boy so much!

Thought this was so sweet!
I cry every time I read it.

Also, Hudson turned THREE months on December 29th.
Where has the time gone???

How funny is that face?

Just chillin'

I spot a blue line in the diaper area...mommies, you know what that means!

sweet smile on his changing table

Happy 3 months, baby boy!
You are my heart and soul!

And Happy New Year!

This and that

It's getting mighty close to 2012!
What a fabulous year it has been. Our biggest blessing was born in 2011, so this year was by far the best!

Below are some recent pictures from my iPhone. I'm doing a blog book for 2011 and today is the last day of the year... So expect another post alittle later.

What's up, mom?

Why do you keep taking pictures of me?

Letter to the editor

Dear maternity leave,
I love you. I've loved you since September 29, 2011. But we are also in a fight. For you have left me, maternity leave. I guess it is over for us... My time is up. And I'm sad about it. More than sad. You allowed me to bond with my baby boy, my most precious gift. 12.5 un-interrupted weeks of baby angel and mommy bonding. Wow! What a blessing you were.

There were tears from both Hudson and me, more sleepless nights than I'd like to count, and an unlimited amount of frantic questions about raising a newborn.... All worth it. Best 12.5 weeks of my life!

I've been back at work for 2 days now. It actually wasn't that bad, and only a few tears were shed.... But dont think I don't think about you all the time, maternity leave.

Here are a few things that will always remind me of you:
- Friends on tvland from 10-12 pm
- fall afternoon strolls
- my pj sets with the button up tops (easy for nursing mommies)
- speaking of pjs, staying in them all day
- so many loads of baby clothes laundry
- Greys Anatomy on lifetime
- babyswise
- the music on our little lamb swing and bouncy... Still hear those sounds in my dreams
- getting to know the sweetest face in the world

I really am going to miss you, maternity leave! You are a great friend. I guess we'll meet again with the next bambino. And yes, I've got a timeline for that!

Love,
Kristin and Hudson Lindley

All grainy IPhone pictures, and all taken on maternity leave.

Kristin + Hudson + maternity leave = the best time ever

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas eve!

I thought I'd share some of the Hudson related Christmas things around the house.

I only put out about half my decorations this year... Who knew putting out all that stuff would be so difficult with a 2 month old (he was two months at the time). But I wanted to get our trees out and our stockings... So it would feel like Christmas.

Hudson's pottery barn stocking
So classic looking.
Family of three now!

Hudson's first christmas ornament. Kiki got this for him

These next two things are very special:

First, I went to 'Harry the potter' and got an ornament made with his thumb print... And they painted a Santa on it.
Really? How cute is this?

This plate has his sweet foot prints. Can you see the feet? Kiki couldn't see it at first?
Bless his angel feet bones!

Small story: when I showed Kiki these, she started crying because she thought they were so sweet. And she also asked why I didn't get her any. Shhhh! I secretly did and we will give them to her tonight.

Hudson's gifts from Santa. We are doing our gifts for him today, because Santa is coming to my parents house tomorrow morning.

Who knows what to get the 3 month old that has everything?

And one present to unwrap from us. In our family, Santa doesn't wrap his gifts.

One last picture. My Christmas angel. Look at that little man. He is the biggest joy in my life!

Happy birthday Jesus and Merry Christmas everyone!

In the next post, I'll give you the run down on what me and Joey gave eachother. He REALLY outdid himself this year! And pictures from both family get togethers.

Going hunting

This is what my child ends up in when his daddy dresses him.

Oh my goodness. I could just eat.him.up!

He might be the cutest hunter I know. And when he gets a deer, they will know his name...
"My name is Hudson Lindley and even my camo is monogrammed. Boom!"
(that's what he's thinking)

Thanks Melanie for the onesie!
