June catch up

Told ya I was serious about getting caught up!
I started this post about a month ago, and the babies have gotten so big since then.
So these are the pictures from mid June-end of June 2015
Trying to roll over and getting stuck
I love my boys!
Barnes and Cooper. True BFFs, just like their mommies.
The waterslide that has basically defined our whole summer!

Walmart with all three by myself, I must be crazy!

Fathers day! Joey and Papa are the best daddies that a girl (and my babies) could ever ever ask for!

Barnes and Ford. Birthday twinsies
Hudson said "Look mommy, we match"
I have taught you well son!
And Lillian in her summer bubbles...there are no words!
Matching summer pjs. So much to focus on. First and foremost, Barnes' belly, I die! Sissy's naked baby that she would not let me put the clothes back on, and Hudson's headlock grip on B

Barnes at FOUR months

Barnes Thomas Lindley turned FOUR months old on July 18th.
Gosh goodness gracious, I love this chunk of love! He is currently CIO in his crib...yeah, that's how we roll these days. He's big enough now that I feel like he can CIO and he will survive it. But lets be honest, he's been big enough since the day he was born. But I'm just now getting comfortable with it.
Anyways, this boy is just the cutest thing. And when he smiles so big, it melts.my.heart!
He reminds me of a mime (sp?) when he smiles, it is so so big but no sound is involved. Just waiting on him to start the "trapped in a box" routine next.

Things about Barnes at FOUR months:
- Still nursing nursing nursing. I love it, and I'm happy he likes it too. He doesn't get bottles often, but when he does, he takes bt 5-6 oz and maybe alittle more at night.
- I had the bright idea to take him out of his pod at night, and the boy doesn't love to sleep flat. So we've been working through that. Some nights he will sleep straight until 4:00 am and sometimes he wakes up 10 times before that. But I just refuse to feed him before around 4-4:30 because I know that boy can make it. So this is when the CIO started. Sleeping 1.5-2 hours at naptime, 3 naps a day in the swing.
- Wearing 6 months clothing mostly. I have a few bigger things he can fit into, but mostly because he is long in the stride. I've been hitting up the summer sales and buying 18-24 mths for next summer,,,this chunk is throwing me off my small child game! Still in size 2 diapers, but amazon will deliver size 3 next month.
- I think he weighs around 15-16 lbs. I can not wait to see what his stats are at the end of the month
- The boy love love loves to smile. His favorite thing is when I blow air bubbles into his neck. He gets so tickled!
- He finally rolled over from back to tummy about a week ago. And since then, he does it all the time. He'll roll over and get stuck...and we have to rescue him. He hasn't figured out he can just roll back over yet. At first, he'd roll and just lay there with his head down like a beached whale, but now he can pull his arms underneath him and chill for a bit.
- He has become much more tolerant of Lillian rolling all over him. Sissy literally can not keep her hands off of him. I can't turn my back when she is around him, because she will be on top of him hugging and kissing him. Its the sweetest thing, but Sissy can be a bit rough.
- His loves: being held, mommy's kisses, being swaddled for naps and bedtime, his playmat, watching his brother and Sissy act like wild animals. His dislikes: being flat in his crib, being awake when he tired, the bumbo after 10 minutes

Our bonus baby Barnes, you are so so loved!

I mean, I seriously die of his cuteness!

recently (a few weeks late)

One day, I will catch up on this blog.
Here we are, halfway through summer...things go at lightening speed these days.
The children are loving CH on Mon/Wed and I'm loving having those few hours alone with Barnes. Sometimes we chill at the house or sometimes we run errands. I forget how easy it is to tote around only one child.
(These pictures are a few weeks old...again, I will get updated eventually!)

Barnes trying out one of his beach hats. We aren't going until September, but he's still excited!
What a typical non-MMO morning looks like around 8:30. Real life, people!

Kiki continues to buy Hudson big boy clothes, so we use them for play clothes. Ha! One day I'll be ready.

A few weeks ago, we had the Bingham-Zito crawfish boil. Of course, Sissy found the fruit!
And sweet angel Barnes just hung out in the sling.
I feel like we live outside...even in this heat. I just add water to the mix

I ordered Lillian a life jacket after we discovered she was a complete daredevil around the pool. And for the first two days, she refused to take it off.
I tried to squeeze Barnesy into one of Hudson's smocked outfits, size three months. Bless his chubby self. The struggle is real.

And we've started riding his bike to Kiki and Papa's house. I'm telling you, this boy is just growing too fast!

Barnes hates tummy time. And being the third child, I just don't push it as much as I should. I hope he rolls over before he turns two.

I love when I get to meet my friends for lunch. Fun lunch at Char with Jamie, Lexie and Kayla.

Georgia Mitchell turned FOUR and we got to celebrate at the yogurt shop. This was a great idea because my children could run around like crazy and it kept them contained.
And I never miss an opportunity to match them up!

Barnes and Cooper love each other!!!
Sweet baby Barnes after after bathtime. He loves his baths and he just kick kicks in the water!
That's our special time after the big kids go to bed.
I mean, look at that sweet smile!

Barnes at THREE months

Sweet bonus baby Barnes. He is THREE months old and it is blowing my mind!
He has turned into the sweetest, laid back baby and for that I am eternally grateful. Barnes has the cutest, most chubbiest cheeks and arm rolls like no Lindley baby has ever seen. "Where did you come from.." we continue to ask because he doesn't really look like anyone in our family. But he is  perfectly ours!

Some things about Barnes at THREE months:
- Still nursing like a champ. About every 3 hours during the day and going about 9-10 hours at night. Yes, we finally hit our sleep stride, I think (and I just jinxed it). Just like brother and sister, he is a fast eater, which can make life easier when you have two other kiddos running around.
- Sleep. Ah sleep, welcome back. Things have gotten better in this area and I am grateful. I nurse him and he goes immediately down at 8:00 pm. He has been waking up around 3:00-4:00 am and I can usually pap him until around 5:30 am. He will nurse and back down until 8:00 am. This morning, he slept until 5:00 am and I didn't feed him until 6:20. Victory! He's been in his crib now for nighttime sleep, but still using the swing for most naps. This continues to bother my babywise brain alittle, but I also have two other children and I don't feel like fighting that battle right now. Usually naps 1.5-2 hours, 3 times a day.
- Wearing 3-6 months or 6 months clothing. Yes, biggie is getting big. He pretty much skipped over most of his 3 month bubbles because he was mostly wearing gowns until last week. It was a sad day to give those up. Last newborn in sweet gowns....can't even really talk about it. Most of the 6 month stuff is needed for his long stride. They are loose, but he needs them for length. Wearing size 2 diapers and wondering why I waited so long to make that switch, too.
- From what I can tell from putting him on the scale, he's about 14.5 lbs. What the what? Lillian weighed 14 lbs at six months. Ha!
- Smiling is his absolute favorite! The boy has the sweetest smile ever with those cheeks. You can get the best smile out of him when you kiss on his feet or his neck.
- Loves his playmat and has started reaching and batting for the toys. He also loves the mirror. He likes to lay and look at the ceiling fan. If I need him to be still for a little bit, that is my go-to trick.
- Trying his hardest to roll over back to tummy. He gets about 3/4 over and gets stuck on his shoulder. He'll get mad enough one day soon and make it all the way over.
- He doesn't mind running around with his mommy and still loves to be in the baby k'tan. I need to look at the weight limit on that thing. He could be in it until he's 15 years old.
- Such a sweet natured little boy. Doesn't cry much at all and loves his mommy. My love this sweet child growing daily and I still can't believe that he's ours.

End of May happenings

Testing, testing.... 123. Is anyone out there?
I have been so neglectful of this blog. But I am going to keep going because this is my children's baby book. And I will someday get them all printed....someday!

We are still trucking along since school's been out. The big kids go to a summer program at CH two days a week, just to keep up with a routine. And I am so glad that I did that! Bless them, they get so bored at the house...even though we try to do play dates in the mornings.

Sweet loves! I wish I would have dressed them cuter, since this turned out so cute!
Sissy had her first Popsicle a few weeks ago, and we've been eating them all the time since. She calls them "sticks"
We went to the splash pad at the zoo with Kelli, Kate and Owen. It was a great morning for it and we had the pad to ourselves! They also built this new arbor thing with fans, so we could chill under there and keep Barnes cool.

Next time, I will bring more snacks! Water fun makes these babies hungry!
And sweet, angel Barnes just snoozed and laid there. God love him!

On May 17th, we got Barnes dedicated to the Lord at Broadmoor. Such a special morning! Barnes wore my christening gown (that Brett and Lillian also wore). I am still waiting to get the official church pictures back, because those are the only ones we got of the whole family... We tried again after lunch, but by that time, everyone was over it!

This is a real life, family of five picture!
Papa Frank, Barnes and Me
The Mitchells came over a few weeks ago to cook out and play on our water slide. Kiki got us this thing and it is so cool! The kids had a blast!
Sissy also enjoying her first watermelon. She loves her some fruit!!!
She pretty much as to be nakey during watermelon and popsicle time because it is very messy!

Sweet (and rare) moment of playing together outside. It has been so hot the past few weeks, and the kids like to play on the porch with the fan going. I don't blame them. If water is not involved, its almost too hot.
Meanwhile, Barnesy just hangs out inside. I swear, this child is the cutest thing ever with those chubby cheeks!
And Lillian loves her baby Barnes! She doesn't understand the idea of personal space at all!
But he doesn't seem to mind it too much?

Until next time!
