Lillian's FIRST birthday party

The first weekend in November, we celebrated Lilllian's FIRST birthday party. Her actual birthday is October 16, but we just moved into the house like 2 weeks before that and I just couldn't get it "friends and family" ready for a party that fast. Plus I was really tired...more on that later.

I knew I wanted to do something sweet and dainty for her first birthday. And, of course, it had to include her signature colors: blush and bashful. I found this shop on Etsy that could do exactly what I wanted, and we ran with it. I really hope she always loves pink. I've loved it since I was little, and still do to this day.
We had a wonderful afternoon party with cake and a few other pink treats! It was a great day with family and friends. And it also helps that our huge backyard can also be used as a toddler amusement park. We had every outdoor entertainment we could find!

Sweet birthday Sissy

Her outside spread. Funny story about those balloons: I sent Joey to party city that morning to get some baby pink balloons. I've seen them there before, they do exist. And he comes home with 14 (I requested 15) hot pink balloons that totally didn't match. Lesson learned- don't send an apparently color blind daddy to get balloons.
But I'm trying to let the small stuff slide these days!

Her beautiful cake! The same lady that made Hudson's cake did hers.

Other treats included pink and white yogurt covered pretzels and pink dyed pop corn (that was fun to make)

The big kids loved the trampoline

Some of my sweet friends that came to the party
Tara, Jamie, Katie and Kelly

The only picture I could get of Sissy and Hudson together.
Those tots are busy bodies!

When Bubba arrived, all was right in Lillian's world.

I could just die over this picture of Adda Laine and Hudson

Smash cake time!

She LOVED it!

Lillian Lindley, you are the sweetest Sissy around. Always smiling and happy, you are the perfect addition to our family. Each month with you gets better and better. And now that you are running around, you and Hudson are having the best time! Happy Happy birthday to our angel baby!

Hudson's 3rd birthday party

Way back when, at the end of September, we celebrated Hudson's THIRD birthday party! His party was the week before his actual birth-day, but he didn't know the difference. Of course, we had to do construction themed party. The boy loves trucks...dump trucks, crane trucks, excavator, skid-something, bulldozer. I could go on and on. He loves them! We had the party at the jumpy place in Madison, and everyone had a blast! Plus, I didn't have to clean up my house. Win, win!

I swore I wasn't going to go all pintrest on this party, but I did at the last minute. And it turned out great! Thank the Lord for pintrest...I am just not creative enough to come up with this stuff myself!

Love how his cake turned out!
The candles were construction cones

The favors: Hard hats and Home Depot tool belts. They ended up being a hit!

Birthday boy and his cake!

Poppy loves his Lillian

But Lillian did not love the slide

It took Hudson a while to warm up to the big rides, but he finally did!

The week before Hudson's party, Sissy started walking. So this was one of the first times for her to wear shoes...and she finally got the hang of them.

Sweet boy, we love you so much! You keep us on our toes daily, and we love you for it!
You keep me humble and laughing all the time.
Happy birthday to our brother bear!

Halloween 2014

Halloween was so much fun this year! Hudson understood it so much more, and they were able to wear matching costumes. Even though he understood (to an extent), he's still too young to tell me what he wanted to be. So we had a Mickey Mouse and Minnie at our house! With just Hudson, I would have never done the Disney character thing but Sissy loves minnie so much, I couldn't resist.

Hudson's class party was the Wednesday before Halloween. They have a parade at school followed by the party. So cute!
I made these favors for his class. I am by no means crafty, but Pinterest did help out with this project. And it was easy!

Love that Mickey!

This is the smirk I got when he spotted his daddy!!

Inside for the party, it was all about cupcakes for my boy. He can't get enough.

And Sis joined the action!

It's hard getting a sibling shot these days!

On actual Halloween, the Shives invited us over (or did I invite us over, jess?) to trick or treat with Carson and Sydney. Both babies had a blast.
Lillian and Sydney are future bffs.

My babies.

Couldn't even get a picture of the boys bc they were literally running from house to house. Definitely Hudson's favorite part!

Sweet sibling love!

Me and jess! I'm looking rough after a long mommy day!

My boyfriend :)

And the week before Halloween, our church hosted their fall carnival! Last year, the boys dressed in costume, but we did regular clothes this year.... Smocked pumpkins :) We decided to make it a double date with our big boys!

Loves those little hams.

Hudson Lindley is not afraid of dogs at all... Kind of to a fault.

These boys absolutely love eachother.

Big difference from last year to this year!

Happy Halloween!
