First week of MMO

Last week was Hudson's first week at Trinity Day School. We are so excited to have Hudson around children his age and in such a great learning environment.

We had a week full of activities. On Tuesday, Joey and I met the teachers and got the opportunity to ask questions. Bless those sweet teachers' hearts...they really do love those babies. Mrs. Becky is Hudson's main teacher and Mrs. Mary Jane and Mrs. Jessica help too!
They did mention that they will be teaching the children to drink water out of a baby solo cup. No sippies aloud! Good luck with that, sisters!

On Wednesday, we had the tea party.
The first thing Hudson noticed was the "boons"

And then we found the chairs.

Me and my sweet boy!
That sweet face is my whole life!

And we got to take a boon home!

On Thursday, we had our actual first real day of MMO.
Bless him, he just wouldn't hold that sign.

Sweet boy!

Walking with daddy to the school...toting his new backpack.

After meet the teacher day, we were told that as cute as the sun sandals are, they are not appropriate for school. So we ran to stride rite (us and 2 other classmates) to pick up some keds. Love a little boy in keds!

I also picked up Hudson's first pair of tennies. And he looooves them!

And we had to celebrate the first day with some backyard water fun!

And when it was time for "eat eat" Hudson didn't want to come in. Cue the bipolar baby. He literally acted like we killed his puppy. These last 2 weeks, I feel like he's really been acting out. If he doesn't get his way, he throws himself on the ground and makes this high pitched squeal. The kind of squeal that makes you want to pull your hair out. We both need a time out after those episodes.

So he was still crying in his bath.
I know this too shall pass. But being 30 weeks fat pregnant with a low tolerance, times are getting hard! Ha!

In other news, we got Guss a bark collar. I had meltdown #543 over these darn dogs in the house. So I amazoned the collar and it was at the house the next day. After 2 days of low voltage (per Joey), momma cranked it up to full power. And I am happy to report that his barking has really stopped. Now when he does get shocked, he kind of does this twitch thing with his head... but I am at the point where a twitch is necessary.
After Lillian comes, the house will be chaotic enough with two children 2 years apart...those dogs can't run the house (because the babies will obviously be running the show for awhile)

That is all for now. Happy Monday!

Recently

Recently.... I haven't felt like blogging. Honestly, at the end of the day or at naptime, I just want to just shut my brain off.
So here are random photos of our recent happenings.

These days, Hudson loves to watch too-tles or "ma ma ma" on the phone. For some reason, he calls Elmo "ma ma ma". I think it's bc of the FaceTime Elmo app.

Sweet Kathryn Ann Beacom arrived on August 9th! We love her already. And the Beacoms are moving to New Orleans at the end of the month... I can't even talk about it bc it makes me so sad!

Sweet Kayla and myself at her shower. Eva and Lillian are due at the same time.
Kayla at 30 weeks and me at 29 weeks

Miller's birthday party at the jump place

Take notice of the Minnie sprinklers.

FaceTime with Elmo. My child is a fratboy with that hair!

On Saturday, we went to our bff Carson's 2nd birthday party. These boys had a blast! So much fun that it was hard to get a picture.

We went to a party here about 5 months ago, and Hudson wasn't ready for the big jumps. But now, he was all about them!

Sliding backwards!

Lastly, Hudson sees this picture and calls him dad-dy. No son, your dad is not a six year old Chinese boy. He says it every time! And I die out laughing every time!

That's it for now. I'm exhausted and fat. 30 weeks and counting.

Lillian's Sprinkle

A few weeks ago, some sweet friends threw a shower for Lillian.
We joked because this being my second child, it would be called a "sprinkle" Get it?
It was the cutest idea ever!

We received so many things for our sweet girl, and I definitely left Mrs. Mala's house feeling more prepared.

Susan Harvey did the cake.
 I think I ate like 5 pieces!

The sign-in book

Me and Heather wore the same thing. Too funny!
(Lillian at 26 weeks)

Preggies, preggies everywhere!

Me and Kayla. Our girls due dates are 5 days apart.

I don't get tired of seeing her name on things. I've been dreaming of her name and having a girl for many years!

Kiki got this beautiful frame made for her room

Lillian's goodies

My family at the shower! So thankful for them and coming out to celebrate with us!

Me with the hostesses: Heather, Kelli, and Jamie.
 They did an amazing job!

Love this invitation so much!

I wish I would have gotten a picture of all my friends that came. And my mom and I.
I get caught up in all the excitement and lose focus. Ha!
But it was a great day and we are so thankful for our wonderful friends and family who are just as excited about Lillian as we are!

beach pictures

Yes, we went to the beach back in May. But I just figured out how to scan the images to my computer.
Renner Photography did some beach pictures of me and Josie when we were engaged, so I called them when the family wanted some. Look them up!
Of course, we did the all white look.
That night, Hudson was a disaster at Cobalt, but he turned out to be ok with the pictures. What can I say, the boy is used to a camera in his face.
And we did pick the windiest (is that a word) night ever!

Enjoy!

The Zito crew

My favorite family picture.
Sweet Lillian is 20 weeks
And can I get an amen for a sweet Josie smirk?! (amen)

Trish got so many more, but they live at her house.
Happy Wednesday!

27

So today was the glucose test day. Drink that nasty juice and wait an hour. I'll find out soon if I pasted, but this is not why I am updating....
I had to get on the scale today. This has become something I dread. And I am one of those people that will shed flip flops and any extra layers of clothing necessary to not add that 0.5 oz to my weight.
I didn't like the number I saw today.
In total, I have gained 27 pounds with this pregnancy (I am currently 28 weeks and some days). And might I add that 16-17 of those lovely lbs have come in the last 8-9 weeks. Apparently, big girl's gone wild! I didn't see the 27 pound mark until well into my mid-30 weeks with Hudson. When I discussed said weight gain with my OB, she mentioned maybe I should tone it down. She said she wasn't at all concerned, but she knew how I am about having a big baby. And she mentioned some studies have shown a correlation with increased pregnancy weight gain and big ole babies.
I'm not up on my research, but apparently there is a correlation with shoving every bad thing you can find in your mouth and gaining 27 pounds in 28ish weeks. Who knew?

So I am going to somewhat limit myself. Maybe 2 slices of pizza verses 4?

Also, we are now at the part of this pregnancy when I start going every 2 weeks?!?! How did it slip up on me so fast. Sure, I've got stuff for her nursery, but it won't be set up until we kick Hudson out in a month.
Today was just one of those rude awakening days.

And I am about to post a preggie selfie. Prepare yourself. I promised myself I would document this one like I did with Hudson.

There she blows. Me and 27 extra "Lillian" pounds
Alyssa asked me to send her this picture, and when I did, She might have mentioned noticing my large "ba-dunk-a-dunk". Thanks, Syss!

Sidenote: I know I am being vain, and we are extremely thankful for a happy and healthy Lillian. But I just was not expecting to see that number today.
