Weekend fun

We had a pretty eventful weekend!
On Friday, we met some sweet friends at the zoo. Hudson always love to see his friend, Kate. And I love to hear about life with two kids from Kelli.... Always good to get prepared for the future.

Sweet Hudson didn't care too much about the animals. I swear his attention span is about as big as a pea. He called every animal a dawwwwg (dog), but I think he enjoyed it.

Riding the choo choo.

We met daddy for lunch after that and Hudson was totally pooped out!

On Saturday, we headed north to the Dave Matthews concert in Southaven. Me and Joey needed a night away and it was quite the experience. It was my first real Dave show, and the "smell" was quite distinct, if you know what I mean.

But we did get to hang out with Caleb and Kelly. We ate at Lost pizza before the concert and I tore up their tamales. Highly recommend!

Although we were out of our element, it was nice to spend time with my number one.

Sunday we headed out early so we could celebrate kiki's birthday lunch! That Kiki is so special to us and I hope she was showered with love yesterday!

And today we've just been having sprinkler fun. The boy would live outside if I'd let him.

Happy Monday!

Random

Lots has been going on around the Lindley household.
We've also been battling this weather for a few weeks now. It will be warm and beautiful for a few days, and then get cold again. Hudson has been very confused.

But we did get a chance to meet sweet Evie Witcher. She is just a doll!

The rest of these are pretty self explanatory...

Except this one:
Kiki bought Hudson some big boy clothes for Easter. Polo shirts and cargo pants. Really, Trish?!?! You know I'm not ready for this!
So they will have to stay tucked away in the closet for awhile.

Note- Most of these have been instagrammed already.

wedded bliss

On Saturday, my best friend Jamie married her best friend. It was such an amazing weekend filled with so much love for this sweet couple.
The wedding and reception was at The Cedars in Jackson. And the weather was ah-mazing!

Jamie and Justin.
Their future is so bright!

Jamie and her cute "bride" shirt at the brunch on Saturday morning.
I didn't get her face on purpose, it was early and we hadn't applied makeup yet.
Jamie got us each gift certificates to this new blowout bar in Flowood. They shampoo, dry and style your hair. This was a first for me.
Finished product of me and the bride! She looked absolutely gorgeous!!!
The verdict is still out on whether I liked my hair. Regardless, that curl was not falling, so I was stuck with it.
The gorgeous wedded couple
Right after the I do's!
Funny story about the ceremony. The second I saw Jamie, I started to tear up. She just looked so beautiful and she was marrying her love. It just got me real ra-motional. And my placement in the bridal party, I was basically standing right across from her, so we kept making eye contact. So here I am that blubbering bridesmaid, but slightly felt like the groom because we kept sharing these eye moments. Finally I stopped looking at her, so I could maintain my composure.
It was such a sweet ceremony. A shorty, but definitely a goody!
Let the reception begin!
The crispy pancakes
Me and Josie. He looked very dapper that night!
Sweet Amy Grace.
I've been so lucky to have several play dates with her in the last few weeks!
And sweet Hudson Lindley even made an appearance with my mom! He was crazytown as usual, so he didn't stay long. That little boy is always on the go!
And please look at the back of Jamie's dress.
I.could.just.die!

Most of the Phi Mu ladies at the end of the night.
Another funny story. I kept getting Jamie, telling her we need to get a phi mu group picture. She kept telling me she didn't want to do it. After saying it like 4 times, I finally told her I was doing this for her own good and she would thank me later. Turns out, she thought I was trying to trick her into "Picture a girl", our song we do at wedding. But really, I just wanted her to have a good group picture.

And I borrowed this image from her photographer's instagram. I just loooove those ruffles!
Jamie's dress fit her like a glove and her body was extra rockin'!

I have so many pictures on my phone of this weekend. Most of them being stalker photog of Jamie.
She was just so happy and laid back. It was the perfect weekend!
But needless to say, I was pooped by Sunday.
And now the happy couple are on their way to St. Thomas for their honeymoon. I am definitely jelly of that!

Even though I was exhausted and grumpy, the boys came over on Sunday to cook the fish from their deep sea fishing trip.
And Zach brought AP. Love that little girl! And Hudson is now at the age where he can participate in playing  with her. They just laughed and laughed.
And Hudson slept pretty hard last night, so it was a successful play date.

Happy Monday!

Barbie Beach Bach!

The weekend before Easter, some of my favorite barbies loaded up and headed to Destin. It was my best friend Jamie's bachelorette party and the theme was "Barbie beach bachelorette" So stinkin cute!
The weather was rainy the whole weekend, but we didn't let that stop our fun. And we stayed at the penthouse overlooking rum runners in the village. Yeah, we were in the real world house.

Look at that cute beach Barbie.

Too windy for the bikini

Getting use of the hot tub

On the second night, that's when the costumes came out. And I do love a costume!
Jamie was the most gorgeous Barbie bride!

Our whole crew of barbies: 60's, punk, stepford wife, 80's, bride, sailor, boho, country club, stripper cop and skipper.

Bride and boho

We were definitely the cutest group in destin that weekend!!! And I got really defensive when other brides were getting more attention that Jamie.... Ha!

It was a great weekend! And I can't wait to see this lady get married next weekend!

Hudson- 18 months

Hudson Lindley turned 18 months on March 29th. And since we got his Easter pictures made earlier this month, I thought they'd be perfect to use and show how much he's growing.

What Hudson's been up to:
- Still wearing 18 month clothes and growing into 24 months for spring. I've been buying 2T for fall/holiday smocked. Still in size 4 diapers
-New foods he's into: tater tots, rice crispy treats, cheese-its, popcorn. All the stuff I'm not suppose to be giving him. He also loves sweets and chocolate, but I don't give that to him much
- Still loves to drink "ice" (cold water with ice) out of my cup. We've seen many fits lately because he can't hold the cup
- OBSESSED with the vacuum cleaner. Like, we have to hide it now because he will turn it on himself. And when he can't find it, you guessed it, a fit.
- Has 12 teeth, but 2 are coming in on the top. All the classic teething symptoms are coming back out
- He now tells us when he pooh-poohs. " Ah pooohh pooooh"
- This child loves to be outside. But has decided he doesn't want to ride in the wagon. He wants to push it. He loves to mow the grass in our backyard.
- Loves pop-up and lift-a-flap books
- Its been harder and harder to get him down at 7 since daylight savings time. But we are still attempting. He will sleep until about 7 am.
- Still loves his paps. I had hopes of taking them away at 18 months, but we are going to the beach in May. And I know we will need them there.
- We've had about 5-6 haircuts since his first birthday.
- His defiant side has definitely come out. And we've had to have our fair share of hand pops. Of course, I am the disciplinarian. Joey gets to be the cool parent.
- He has started to hit. And you better watch your face, because its not safe these days.
- Some of his new words (I might have already mentioned some of these in preview posts): wow, ice, pup-py, you, woof, raaahw (like a lion grawl), juice, gone gone, eat, bite, deer, momm-meeey (he's been saying momma, but just switched to mommy)
- He loves to pet joey's 2 deer hanging in the office. He points and says "deeeerrrr" And yes, we have 2 deer hanging in our office. Thanks, Joey
-He is big into a repetition. He will stack and unstack just to restack again. Over and over.
-His daddy and him have a night time routine with the dogs. Joey says, "lets feed the dogs" and he'll run to the laundry room and knows exactly what to do. Then he'll run into our bedroom to feed Guss.
- After the above routine, we obviously think he's a genius
- He is officially enrolled in a 2 year old morning class in the fall. I think he's bored at  home with me and I want him to be around other kids his age. He will go 2-3 mornings a week.
-Still loves his mommy, but is starting to love that daddy. Its so fun to watch them do boy things.
- He never, ever stops. Like ever. I am exhausted, but just having so much fun with him. 18 months is really a great age!

My sweet friend Jana took these amazing pictures of Hudson.
He saw the bunny and immediately said "Guuushhh?" Anything white and small is Guss to him

And what would a Lindley photoshoot be without me and Kiki wanted to jump in?

Love that sweet 18 month old with all my heart!
