out of commission

Hello there!
We have been out of commission at the Lindley household.
The stomach virus got us. And by us, I mean me, Hudson, and my dad.
Joey missed the virus memo because he was out of town on business.

So we spent yet another week snuggling and drinking pedialyte. Fun times!

But by the weekend, I was getting alittle cray to get out of the house. Luckily, we had a fun daytrip to Starkville planned! Hudson stayed with Kiki, so me and Josie had a game day date!

My cute, sweet boyfriend.
This was before we made a last minute stop at The Lodge for $70 drifit MSU shirt.
Those suckers aren't cheap!

My yummy bloody at The Grill

And I got to see my sweet friends!

My little crispies.
We walked around the junction for awhile

Meghan and Reeves, my neice and nephew. They came to the game with us.
Reeves and Hudson are about 1.5 years apart. They are going to have so much fun growing up together!

Crisp P. Pancake

Notice the new game day attire on Joey.

Side note: when I was at MSU, we didn't try to pull out the cute maroon outfits. We just wore cute clothes on game days. But now, all the girls are in maroon and white! Its fun to see all the fun outfit options!
And I got lots of compliments on my maroon polka dot number....straight from Forever2921

Our seats were amazing, but the game was kinda boring. And we didn't play our best.
But Starkville was fun, as always!

When we got home that night, (yeah, we drove), this little surprise was waiting on me.Uggies for Hudson!
Now, I've got alot of mixed reviews on this, but they are manly uggies and his little feet need the sheepskin for warmth. Ha! I only have ONE more year to dress this boy in  his cutsie clothes, so I am living it up while I can!

Speaking of Mr. Hudson, look how cute he is!
Sadly, we are getting the baby a haircut trim today. I am bound and determined to keep the sides and back long. Just because he is about to turn ONE, doesn't mean he has to automatically be a big boy!?!

So this week, we are doing full on birthday set up for the party this weekend!
Our house is currently a wreck, and I still have alot to do, but I know between me, Kiki, and Joey we can get it done!
I still can't believe I will have a ONE year old on Saturday. How did this happen? I have kind of been avoiding those thoughts the last fews weeks, because when I do think about it....I cry.  So no tears for now!

Lastly, I will leave you with my little Indian.
Its so fun to watch him mimic us these days. I just love him to absolute pieces!

Grinding

We are indeed Grinding for our State today!
Go dawgs!

Changing the subject, I think it is time. Time for what? To get the boy a haircut.
This picture below (crazy bed hair) pretty much confirmed it for me.
Hudson Lindley has better hair than me. His couff is OOC!
But he is slightly channeling Farrah Fawcett in this photo, and he's a boy.
He needs to be channeling Tim Tebow, not some pretty 70's angel.

So we will grind for our dawgs this weekend and take his 12 month pictures on Sunday night. But we will then grind to the haircut place next week.
I'm not really sure why this haircut is so hard for me. I will guarentee though that they will only TRIM this child's hair! His sweet wings (side curls) will stay intact.

Bless his angel needs-a-haircut bones!

Happy Happy weekend, all!

splish splash

We've been sick around the Lindley household.
Hudson had "the croop" Have you ever heard of this?
Let me explain what it is in medical real terminology: it sounds like your child swallowed a deep barking dog that wheezes. Yep, deep bark and wheezing.
Kiki said that when the weather changed every year, we got the croop. And it looks like the tradition carries on.
So we quickly visited Dr. Jones and were prescribed a steriod and antibiotic.

He was feeling under the weather on Tuesday, but he was back to his busy body self yesterday.
So we had lots of mommy/baby time the last 2 days!

But that baby wasn't sick enough to enjoy is bath!

Such a big boy!
At the doctor, he weighed 20 lbs 13 oz. That sweet baby is growing!!

Also, Daddy got a new job!!! We are so so excited for Joey and this is a GREAT move for him!
Joey has been doing sales for 4 years now, but he was finally able to break into medical sales!
(That was the exciting news I was mentioned last week)
With this job, he will be traveling more and out of town about 1-2 nights a week. So we are starting to get used to daddy not being around some, and Hudson gets to snuggle with me more :)
Also, this job will change some things with my employment and status, but we are working on getting all that worked out now.
Joey is such a hard worker for our family and we prayed and prayed that a position would come around that was good for us, and it did! God is good!!
So with this job, he gets a company care. A VAN! Yeah, you heard it, a van. In my head, I picture a molester van, but we are waiting to see what it looks like. I'll post pictures of Josie pimpin in his new ride when it is delivered.

Happy Friday!!

11 months

My sweet boy turned 11 months on August 29th.
(I know I am late posting this, but the pictures are from the actual day)

Our love for this tiny human grows every.single.day!
And he just has the cutest personality these days!

Some things about Hudson Lindley at 11 months:
-Wearing 12 months clothes now, the 9 months are officially too short. Still in size 3 diapers
-Taking 4 6-7oz bottles a day.
We are about the start the whole milk and milk sippy transition... fun times ahead, I'm sure.
-I have started to introduce more food, and he is starting to become a picky eater. And if he doesn't like something, he will swat at it or throw it off the highchair to Riley.
This month we tried: grits, raviolis, mac and cheese, big boy cheetos, and broccoli.
If he seems not to like it, I resort to trickery and sneak it in his yogurt or go back and forth.
He is still a baby that loves his carbs and string cheese. And the baby goldfish have saved us/prevented a few meltdowns. Still not loving solid fruits, so we also have a baby yogurt or apple sauce almost every night. He loves that stuff!
-Sleeping like a champ, sometimes 13 hours a night.
(I hate to even mention sleep bc I don't want to jinx it)
-He is into EVERYTHING!
We baby proofed last night bc his new thing is the open all the cabinets he can reach. And that baby has already gotten his fingers. He loves the door stopper thing, you know the thing that prevents the door from slamming into the wall? Yeah, my child could play with that for several minutes (which is like big people hours for babies) Our living/family room looks like a complete disaster bc he just throws stuff around.
-He is cruising everywhere and can stand without holding on for about 30 seconds. He loves to walk with his wooden walker and the table.
-He has started to play with his baby friends. Its fun to watch him interact with Carson and Claire.
Serious playdates are to come!
-The frat boy swoop. Wow! His hair is getting so so long.
And I know its time for a baby trim. Literally just a few snips. But I am just not mentally ready for this baby to get a haircut. It gets in his eyes, so it will happen before the end of the month
-Still loves his momma! But starting to pay more attention to his daddy! And, of course, Joey is eating it up!
-His language is improving. Still saying bababababa. But has started saying MaMa this week (and not just when he's upset) and he said DaDa this weekend (I didn't hear it, so it really hasn't happened yet)
-He can clap his hands and wave byebye. He gets so so excited when he does it! We are working on patty cake
-He loves a photo opportunity and will smile so big with that open mouth! (see below)

He is just our little angel of the world and we could not imagine life without him!

Frat boy hair

He won't stay still

Standing like a big boy!

At the end of the month is the big 12 months and the big birthday party!
We will celebrate both on the same day!

I feel it!

Sunday at Church, they played this song and they really rocked the house!

I know this song is probably old, but it give this catholic-turned-recently-baptist the serious goosebumps.
If you are looking for a place to worship in madison, try Broadmoor. You'll like it!
God is good!

PS, Happy Birthday to ME!
