watch what happens.

While on maternity leave, aka the greatest time EVER,  I have picked up a few TV shows.
Some of these I was watching before, and some I watch on daytime TV.

Now, me and sweet Josie are big TV watchers. We love it, our favorite pastime.
So I have been dragging Joey down with me on this TV train.

First,
Up All Night
Have you seen this show? So funny!
I watched the "birth" episode last night and it was very accurate.
The whole show just works.
side note: anytime I see a movie or show about giving birth, I can now state my opinion...I've been there, I now know what all happens. that is still crazy to me.

Happy Endings
To me, the new "Friends"
I do find it unreaslistic that they are able to sit around all day, but that's ok.
It's silly, mindless humor

My new (old) daytime show obession: Grey's Anatomy
You might remember a few years ago, I broke up with Greys. I did. It got to be too much for me. But I've been watching season 3-4, and I can hand this.
Denny dies, Christina doesn't marry Burke, Torres wants to fight Izzy, Jane Doe or Ava, little Grey, Addison leaves, George fails his test, Meredith drowns.
love.it.all
weekdays 1:00 and 2:00, be there or be square.
another side note: Yes, I do have a child that I take care of at 1:00 and 2:00, but if I have to feed him or nurture him, why can't it be in the living room with the channel on lifetime? Sue me!

Other honorable mentions that are not pictured:
The New Girl
Modern Family
The Office
Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders: Making the Team
The Duggars
Regis and Kelly

And this one I know nothing about.
Revenge
But i've heard it's great and I want to pick it up at some point.

Happy watching!

fall fun!

Happy fall from the Lindleys!
I'm alittle late on this post, but who cares!

We had a small, fall family photo session a couple of weeks ago in my parent's forest backyard. Say that 3 times fast. smallfallfamilyphotosession.

Isn't my little baby boy cute?

Family of three. Love my Lindley boys!

Hudson at 3 weeks and 5 days old!

Me and my main man, Hudson Lindley.
And notice the pumpkin we carved with his initials. Now, I haven't carved a pumpkin in along time, and apparently I'm not caught up on my pumpkin ettiquite. Did you know that pumpkins can rot? Like really rot? The inside of our pumpkin was BLACK! Grossy black!
I guess we carved the thing too early...lessoned learned!

And his cute outfit for the day. You know I love a monogram and the boy can not forget his name, because he has it on ever outfit he owns!
totally in love with him!

spooky friends

Hudson has sweet, spooky friends.

On Halloween night, D'anna's Jude and the Beacom's Claire came over to take some pictures.
We had two cute bag of bones and a sweet strawberry.
Aren't they presh?

Of course, my little lovie decided to sleep through the whole occasion.

The mommies: me, Heather, and D'anna
Please look at Claire. She was throwing the cutest fit.

Also, my BFF came over last Saturday with Adda Laine.
Now before my Hudson was born, AP LOVED me! She would reach for me and kiss me.
But I hadn't seen her since my labor. And she forgot about me...which mean she had to re-learn me.
Only took about 10 mintues. She loves me again...in her Halloween tu-tu.

Happy 5 weeks to my favorite little pumpkin!
I love you to the moon!

Happy Halloween for the Lindleys!

This year, our little one was too small for your over-the-top costume I had envisioned.
So we opted to have wardrobe changes with different smaller costumes.
Hudson didn't love the trick or treaters...for he slept through most of it!
But I'm sure next year will be a total different story.
Our little pumpkin

Bless his sweet, angel face

Pumpkin toes

Scary monster was next!
Isn't he terribly cute?

Dad with his number one monster

My little monster with horns. He refused the wear the hat unless he was passed out.
And no, I did not go as a pentecostal as my hair would suggest.

Last outfit of the night. A bag of bones.

Bless those bones!

Do you think he will need therapy for being photographed so much?
I just love my little baby so much!

I plan on doing a separate post for his Halloween friends that stopped by!

NKOTB

While in the shower this morning, Hudson was in his bouncy hanging out. Now this is pretty normal for us. Sometimes he sleeps while I shower and sometimes he just kinda hangs out. Today was different. He was crying. Trying to stick with babywise, I identified his cry as the "woman just hold me" cry. He likes that cry. So what's a mom to do? This soaking wet, dirty and needed a shower mom decided to let her child cry for 3-4 minutes. I know, I know. I'm awful.

So while he was in and out crying, I decided to grace him with my lovely singing voice. And at the time, I couldn't think of any appropriate children's songs or really any appropriate adult songs to sing to my 4 week old.

What did I decide to sing?
'Step by Step' by New Kids on the Block (NKOTB)

I love this song and this group... Still. And yes, I am 28 years old.

The real question is: Did Hudson like the song?
Answer: no!

He doesn't seem to be impressed by the musical stylings of the early 90's boy band.

Maybe next time, I'll try the 80's. I do a mean rendition of 'Call Me Al'

My little buttercup after his bath last night!
